Don't forget that the Rox are missing $21 million in salary this season too.

Might be a good time to adjust expectations. Against elite opponents the problems that this game (and the Phoenix and Utah games) exposed are going to doom the Rox. On the other hand it may well be possible to get past the first round, depending on match-up's.

Although Alston and Artest had locker issues, I think if we convinced Alston not to shoot much like now he has changed in Orlando, we would have been in a better position.

I see the crying is through the roof again. The rox aren't in the same league as la. The sooner people accept this, the better.

OK, Dallas loses to Memphis, the Hornets lose to the Warriors, the Jazz lose to the T-Wolves at home, and we're going ballistic because we lost to the best team in the West on their home court? Geez, perspective, people, perspective.

    imo

adelman is not the best coach for this team, we need better offensive and defensive decisions at the court wafer are like tie can't throw from three brooks same both of them are the better shooters from three in the team

better defense if you see they try to take the momentum in a play or two double team the shooters (ex kobe and fisher ) player

with the talent that we got on this team was to go better mark than we have maybe better than the lakers have

Ron is selfish but he isn't the reason we struggled offensively.

Yao needs a floor general who can do it all out there. Yao isn't like dream who could dominant on both ends.Yao is like a kareem a low post player who needs to play with an elite floor general. No more rafers and brooks and lowry's.

We need more Wafer, and less Artest and Battier...we need fearless players who are quick and attack the basket.

All we can do is put this one behind us, it's been clear all season long, LA has been the better (closing out) team. I for one, as much as I love the Rockets knew we didn't have enough to win against them, albeit whatever the case may be - personnel, coaching, length, decisions, etc. A loss like this is ok, its those against the memphis', pacers, etc that are annoying. I wasn't expecting a win but we played hard and the effort was there but the usual occurred (against the Lakers) costing the game - went away from Yao, forced bad shots, and turnovers.

We just got to look forward to this upcoming stretch of games as I see a 6 game win streak. No upcoming opponent scares me if play Rockets Basketball, than again, I thought we'd win in Phoenix.

    Go Rockets!!!

Totally agree, but what we saw today was not good. Just looked like Lakers were toying with Rockets.

Why is Scola not being fed the ball regularly when he goes to open spots in the offense? There is too much Artest and Brooks who are often essentially the culprits when the Rockets offense breaks down.

Adelman also seems to be the among the worst coaches when it comes to the closing minutes of games. His substitution and tactics during the fourth quarter, and especially the last few minutes, are very questionable. No wonder he lost so many championship games in the closing minutes.

    We need another elite player.

We struggled OFFENSIVELY in this game

Turnovers and porr offesnive decsion making.

Yao needs a elite player. Rick isn't the probelm,Riock was just named coach of the month and we just beat the nugggets the leagues hottest team,We beat the bobcats who just beat the lakers,We beat the spurs and the hornets all games on the road.

Yao needs a elite point guard PERIOD POINT BLANK.

Our championship dreams disappeared with McGrady's surgery. Keeping Alston might have given us a slightly better chance to win a first-round series, but allowing Lowry and Brooks to gain experience makes more sense in the long term.

Sure, it's sometimes painful to watch, but it's the correct approach to building a team IMO, especially if the goal is the championship and not just a playoff series.

The problem is that the Rockets keep showing the same problems over and over again. It's not a fluke. They can't execute, especially down the stretch when it counts.

You can't close the game when you have no floor general. We need that type of player we are clsing the games with ron artest and aaron brooks as our guards. Lakers have fisher championship experience and kobe bryant MVP.

How you going to close games with guards that don't know how to make post entry passes.

DD,Wafer is quicker and more athletic than Artest and Battier, but his defense sucks and sometimes he's just completely clueless what he should do.His understanding of the game needs to be improved.Well,I like his energy and passion.

I think that's where our inexperienced PG's come in. There wasn't much direction going on with AB. Lowry did better than AB today but 1-7 in shooting. The other issue is RA. Just watching him do those...stupid...things...makes me cringe my teeth.

    Second that!

More AB attacking too. No more long bombs. No more screen on the out first and launch from the out.

But we all know Artest and Battier can't attack like Wafer, and Wafer can defend like them.
