We're not going anywhere if we cant setup Yao.

We have no idea of how to give it to Yao and once teams start getting aggressive with Yao, we're done.

It's not whether we lost the game, it's how we lost the game.

EVEN if we play the lakers, it won't be till the 2nd round...

we should focus more on getting a HOME COURT series, and winning that,
    before thinking about the lakers

The rockets are underdogs to win the championship so were just giving
anyone a run for it...so just enjoy the ride

I only watched the last half of the 4th quarter...and judging from that, i see why we lost...cuz of the MVP name KOBE....he hit back to back three's to seal it up for them...Battier tried his best, but lets face it, KOBE is amazing

okay we lost to the lakers...i know kobe and all that, but what we have to worry about is the crazyness/stupidity of ron artest...turnover after turnover, dribble after dribble, 3 after 3, miss after miss, do after do, da after da, wee after wee, loo after loo, asdfasd after adfsdasdf

I remember when the Lakers not only had Kobe, but Shaq in his prime, and Karl Malone and Gary Payton...and lost to a team whose best player was Rasheed Wallace and Chauncey Billups...

    Don't you get it?
It is not the fact that we lost to lakers.
    It is how we lost.

RA acted like an idiot tonight in front of PJ. He gets out coached every single time when we face champ-caliber coaches.

Rare is the occasion when anybody is happy with any loss. After every loss, regardless of what happened, people are calling for players to be benched and coaches to be fired. It really doesn't matter if we played well or not. I for one am sick of it. Every single time we lose a game the GARM just becomes a b**** and moan festival and those who were talking up players in the morning are ready to cut all ties in the evening. It's ridiculous. I get more upset at the idiotic kneejerk overreactions than I do about what happened in the game.

yes that's all it was.. not as if things like.. missing free throws.. mental lapses in coaching and team execution.. inexplicable substitutions at inexplicable moments in the game.. turnovers.. butter fingered rebounds.. lack of on-court communication.. offensive indecisiveness and disorganization.. straying from the offensive game plan.. scatterbrained possessions.. and defensive rotations.. ineffecient set and time management per possession.. screwloose and pigheaded forcing of the issue.. as it continues to not work.. and not work.. and not work.. over and over.. etc etc had anything to do with it..

nah.. it was all just due that gosh-darn miserable could-happen-to-anybody-bad luck.. of playing against that basketball god of basketball gods.. Kobe Bryant..

we need to shoot for that number 4 seed like no other

lakers have 1 seed no matter what. so this means if we are 3 seed, we will play them in the second round. dont want that

utah will be 6, 7, or 8 seed but will not be able to make the 5. too many hard road games.

in the west there is no such thing as an easy matchup or for sure wins, but that doesnt mean that we cannot try to avoid the lakers (just really good) and jazz (in our heads). Maybe we can sneak into the WCF and if we get that far i really believe we will have a swagger going and give ourselves a chance. Im just a fan with a plan! :D

I highly doubt it. Yao is just going through the motions. He continues to make rookie mistakes. 1. Cant rebound 2. Cant seal off defender 3. Cant dunk when right underneath the basket 4. Isnt physical. 5. Doesnt demand the ball in clutch situations. Yao is suppose to be Rockets superstar aka Mr bigshot. How many teams superstars only average 12 attempts a game. Also the reason Yao dont get to the foul line as much as a lot of other players is because he shy's aways from contact instead of initiate it.

Hopefully that we can beat the blazers at home, then back to the 4th seed...

don't look back, look forward. I look forward to getting the 6th seed, Denver looks a better matchup for us though we won't have home court advantage.

I'll start by saying I read this forum a lot, but I hardly ever post.

I think it's absolutely amazing that someone could start a thread entirely toward getting past this and looking forward to the next game, and that almost every reply consisted of someone either doubting or completely eliminating our chances at winning it all. I know I know.. "it happens all the time".. but seriously, after a loss this is the time when not only we have to look forward, but the players have to look forward and say.. "this is when we gotta pick it up". How you would you react if Artest/Yao and co. had the same beliefs you did? Hey.. we aren't gunna beat the Lakers anyway.. so its whatever... if we win, we win, and if we lose, we lose. If you're going to get pissed if they think that way.. dont think that way yourselves.

As a fan.. I will say the people blaming Adelman for this loss, are absolutely crazy. If you want to blame Adelman for getting out coached, when we lose to a 60-16 team (and 30-5 at home), and play the game relatively close the whole way, then you're just not being realistic. Kobe made plays at the end, and thats what it did it. Adelman gave us a great chance to win that game, and that is a coach's prime responsiblity.

I hope this thread gets turned around, and people do starting thinking about how important the Portland game will be and how we want to be playing our best basketball heading into the playoffs. We have no control over what happens with everybody else, so lets just start winning, keep winning, and continue it through the playoffs.

Before you move ahead you have to fix the problems of the past that keeps haunting you. The same issues keep happening with Rockets and you cant overlook them like they arent there. No one in the entire building can pass Yao the ball and whoever does has to be skilled at passing to a 7'6 target something u think should be pretty simple. Also adelman using Yao to set screens for artest to jack up 3s instead of calling a timeout and and getting in players asses for not getting your best player the ball. Also Rockets can not execute any type of play down the stretch, Rockets just look like chickens with their heads cutoff running around dribbling the shot clock out only to see artest bomb another off balanced 3. And pleaseeee stop tipping the damn rebounds Yao just go up and grab it then throw elbows thats how you command your space.
