Have you guys noticed that RA has been overplaying Berry and playing him out of his natural roll?

This issue has been overlooked in the forum and wanted to know you all's opinion.

I think Brent Barry's role should be reduced because he is killing the Rockets.

His increased minutes the last several games may indicate what Adelman had in mind for the playoffs. But if he's going to stink this bad, Barry's rump should stay on the bench unless the Rockets need a 3-pointer at the end of a game.

To shoot 38% from the 3ball?

The reason I asked the question of the OP was because I'm trying to figure out what Barry's role should be on this team? What are the expectations? From the looks of it, he seems to be gravitating towards what you just posted. That step out of bounds on the baseline drive was just tragic.

He has become the turnover machine. He is old.

Barry needs to stand behind the 3 point line...that is all

Everything else that he does is killing us

stop watching him individually and also pay attn to the guys around him. He's put in soemtimes with chuck and lowry, that's not a good offensive team and Barry's forced to try and do more than he can. Today he was in there with ron and wafer, and they werent passing him the ball and jacking up shots. A competitior like barry is going to get frustrated at that and get others involved, therefore going beyong his current ability.

He needs to be in there to sub Shane at times, playing the role of entry passer and spot up 3point shooter, but of course in limited minutes.

Barry's role should be benchwarmer but with Landry out currently, he's in the rotation. Hopefully when Carl comes back, Barry sees his way to the bench.

enough with the turnover crap, he gets 2 a game tops in the last 3 months, usually 1 or none, ya'll knee jerkers see one bad play and multiply it by 10....ya'll dont even realize the times he turns it over because someone gave him a bad pass...it gets really old..

I think his minutes were just increased because Landry's out. They just roll Ron to the 4 spot because we're easier to stop if Chuck plays big minutes.

The expectation for Barry is way to high, just as it was with Luther Head.

join the chucking party.. he had an odd moment this game.. where he decided it best to have a go at his best Jon Barry impersonation.. dribbled to the 3pt line.. and heaved one up on a 3 on 5.. however unlike his brother.. it never looked good.. and missed terribly..

Barry was suppose to give us a reliable veteran ballhandler after the Rafer trade, but watching him make bunch of rookie bonehead play really worries me. Brooks is not a pg, period. Lowry is our only pg on this team, but is not ready to start. Now I see why Spurs let Barry go. Barry's supposely basketball IQ is really overrated.

Barry is getting more minutes because of Landry being out.

True, but Chuck is also getting more minutes. If Landry's return means BB gets glued to the bench, OK.

I think Brent Barry should retire after this season. He doesn't have another year left in him.

To Barry's credit, he's put in a much tougher position than when he was in San Antonio. They have a star PG, a future HOF versatile big man, and a star wing player. There was no need for him to do much. When he comes in the game here he needs to handle, penetrate, and create offense because you can't depend on AB to make smart decisions or Ron to be a playmaker.
