    1) LaFrentz is a Qualifying Offer FA and Dallas has his Bird Rights. The Rockets are over the cap and can not outbid Cuban for him. This is mechanically similar to the Marc Jackson situation of last summer. The difference being the Mavs want to keep and play Raef.

    2) The Rockets do not have enough cap room to outright sign Rashard Lewis. Since the Rocks are over the cap, this can only happen if Lewis forces a S&T to Houston and the Rockets want to pick up his Max contract. Not likely.

    3) Like Rashard Lewis, Rasheed Wallace has a Player Option. Rasheed has been in the league longer and will command and get a higher max than Lewis should he exercise the option. He can only become a Rocket should he force an S&T to Houston. Again, not likely.

    4) I think most of the other players listed are QO FA's so reread #1.

    5) If Ming is drafted, a viable SF option is Lee Nailon (Hornets). If Dunleavy is drafted, viable options at C are Ruben Boumte-Boumte (POR) and Jerome James (SEA).

the rocks don't have the cap room to go after any of these guys in your poll except for maybe Harrington, but we don't need him.

Malik Rose we may be able to get with the exception. I like his intensity, rebounding, and defense.
