By playing D and playing your role. Artest needs to realize he's not Kobe and Shane needs to do the best he can to limit Kobe. For some reason the Rockets play better against the Elite Teams like Boston ( 1-1 but almost won in Boston) , Cleveland,and SA !!!!! We can win this game even though it will be hard and take the Rockets best A game......
Last 2 games against the Lakers were close up until the very end, when the rockets imploded on offense and defense. Everyone needs to understand their role and not try to do things outside of it.
The Rox need Yao to perform in the 4th quarter and not become passive because of fronting defence. Again it will come down to execution in the 4th quarter. We need Carl Landry healthy, dunking, rebounding and hustling in the post season.
All we can hope for is their shots to be off tonight. I'd say we have a 25% chance to win this game. But once tip off comes, I'll be cheering like we are the best team in the league....
Rockets will win this one! They will not let Lakers sweep them this year. Gonna be tough, but lakers have been slumping a little.
When we shut-down Lebron, it was by playing Unselfish defense. We have to do this tonight. What I mean is that last time we played the Lakers, Artest WANTED to shutdown Kobe. He supposedly demanded to guard him and then he fought over every screen like a dog crazed. Artest has to be more willing to let Battier guard Kobe (since Battier does a better job than Kobe). The bigger matchup is Yao vs whoever. Yao has to dominate...you can't let Pau stop you. Then Lamar vs Artest. Kobe is going to get his, and we have to have a cusion with the time running down because Kobe seems to ALWAYS hit clutch shots against us. Should be a fun game I think we have a chance. That was Artest's first time guarding Kobe this season so he was a little amped up.
I mean that was the first time guarding him with Shane on the floor. I think Shane needs to be on Kobe more than Artest. Shane isn't going to let Kobe get his mind. I'd like to see Artest shut down Odom or whatever guy is hot at the time because that is more dangerous than Kobe going for 50...that is what you want him to do...get selfish.
I think last game we were too worried about Kobe and forgot about others. Josh Powell hurt us alot in the last game. He is their version of Carl Landry. We need to pay a little more attention to him in this game.
i totally agree with you there. I think Shane just has the smarts and the footspeed to at least contest kobes shots. Shane isn't the quickest man in the world, but i think he is fairly quicker than artest, and thats a bit of an understatement. Battier does a great job on kobe so i really hope we see Sugar on Jellybean a whole lot more

The Magic just blew out the Cav. And the Lakers have a must-win game if they want be No.1 in the league. It's that hard for the Rox to keep it up in the Lakers' home. So I dont really think we can win this one. Best luck.
