The Nuggets defense is also keeping them in the game. The Jazz are shooting 36% from the field and Boozer, Okur and Williams are a combined 8-for-35. Throw in Brewer and they're 11-for-43.

If the Nuggets weren't giving up so many offensive boards, Smith could have been having an average night and this game would have been over in the 3rd quarter.

I thought he would be trouble, but he has made me eat crow. Having him on our team would have helped Yao quite a bit.

The Nuggets are one of the most careless, dumb teams out there. This should have been no contest midway through the 3rd quarter. If the Jazz weren't so inept on the road, they would have come back and taken the lead. The 2nd half has been so poorly played it reminds of watching a T-Wolves vs. Grizzlies game. Without J.R. Smith, the Jazz would be ahead.

And Melo gets T'd up. The Nuggets have a lot of players who are missing something between the ears.

I must admit, I don't think I've seen a team blow so many layups and inside shots that they should be making.

The Jazz have 20 offensive boards. That's another thing keeping them from being blown out.

Carlos Boozer is very vertically challenged.

Much improved from last season. They actually have the best FG% against in the WC.

JR is bigger, more athletic, more talented, and can be more unconscious when he is on.

You don't even want to start talking about "vocal flops" here. This is one of my major peeves.

Good point. It's interesting to see a heady player like Billups on the floor with Melo, K-Mart, Nene, Smith, Andersen, etc... All the latter 4 players have some kind of history of losing focus or losing their temper. Kleiza isn't always all there either.
