The 9th pick isn't all that bad

    I don't see why there is so much negativity associated with the probable 9th slot selection. Chances are the Rockets come up with something good.

    Paul Pierce went 10.
    Nowitzki went 9th I believe.

    I think the 9th pick will fare with Houston............If they keep it

    Every young player is a gamble. Some are a little better than others, but they are all a gamble.

    Second gamble -- if a rookie will pay off his first year. They are long term prospects, and can take several years to develop. We can't count on a rookie to save the next season.

    All the more reason for a minor league for the NBA.
