I have created a 3-way trade that makes sense to all the teams involved. So here it goes: Houston sends: Maurice Taylor to Minnesota Glen Rice to New York #1 draft pick to New York #15 draft pick to Minnesota Houston gets: Kevin Garnett #8 pick from New York New York sends: Marcus Camby to Minnesota Latrell Sprewell to Minnesota #8 pick to Houston New York gets: #1 draft pick from Houston Glen Rice from Houston Minnesota sends: Kevin Garnett to Houston Minnesota gets: Maurice Taylor from Houston Marcus Camby from New York Latrell Sprewell from New York #15 pick from Houston New York: #1 pick and Glen Rice Minnesota: Maurice Taylor, Marcus Camby, Latrell Sprewell, and #15 pick Houston: Kevin Garnett and #8 pick I believe this trade benefits all three teams. I know it looks like Minnesota is the ultimate winner here, but I don’t think it is true because they are giving up Kevin Garnett. New York and China get their wishes when Yao Ming will be heading to New York after the trade. I also believe that if New York really wants Ming soo badly they would be willing to take Rice’s contract for two years before it expires. In Houston’s case I believe this may be the missing peace that might propel us back to the glory days. Garnett is awesome and with the #8 pick we could really improve on almost any position because this is such a deep draft. Thoughts? Comments?
Hehe...and we're off. The T-wolves get hosed in this deal. McHale would never let Garnett go for aging and/or mediocre talent. Not gonna happen. He has to get a franchise player in return. Try again.
Yea, but seeing where the t-wolves went the last few years in the playoffs, people are starting to talk about change! Don't get me wrong Garnett is AWSOME but he hasn't carried the team beyond the frist round. Some people in minn. are thinking trade!
Yeah, but the Timberwolves can get so much more. I'm not saying trading KG is a bad idea for their franchise. I'm saying if they do trade an incredible franchise player that they better get a boat load in return. He's worth it.
if we're getting kg then somehow they're getting the number one. that's the only way it can possibly workout.
Even if Garnett were an option, which he very likely is not, it would take the moon to get him AND he'll be a free agent in two seasons. If we give up players and the #1 pick for a guy who bolts after his contract is up, what's the point. Besides, it doesn't work under the cap... <i>Due to Minnesota, New York and Houston being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked.
