If the suns actually tried to play D consistently and kept their run and gun offense, they'd be the favorites to win it all (with amare). That's a near unstoppable combination. It's similar to when the rockets where very great on D and shot well, that usually meant a blowout win for them. The suns are the opposite, very great offense with a solid defensive effort for them also means blowouts, which would be the case right now if Houston wasn't scoring so well themselves (which yall arent giving them credited for tonight).
True, but then again, ALL their energy is expended playing the run 'n' gun offense. What's the last time where run 'n' gun offense and lockdown defense existed on the same team? It's gotta be either Run 'n' Gun all the way, or Halfcourt offense + good/great/excellent defense.
Damn too many rebounds by the Suns is what keeping them ahead of the Rockets. The Rockets will need to do a better job on the boards or this game will be in the L column.
We're blowing a golden opportunity to put the pressure on the Spurs ... you'd think our guys would step it up.
well that's the problem, they cant keep it up consistently, it's not really possible, BUT that doesnt mean they can't do it in spurts or every once in a while, which is what they're doing tonight. They'll do it this week, the next week will be back to run n gun only , then maybe D for one game, etc..
Damn that would have been real bad if that dunk by shaq went in, u will see it for about 3 months straigt
the pts in the pain were like 32 to 16 in their favor, mainly because their scoring off of fast breaks and cuts to the rim, which is what i was refering to, they're moving around a lot and/or setting picks, so ron/shane/etc get picked and are left chasing behind guys. That's why it looks like they're not trying.
