Hey guys. please give me some feedback on the picante. namely the rockets #15 pick. i have us taking that sweet shooting SF Nachbar. I think that Yao is a year or 2 away from really developing, but I think Nachbar would compliment Morris well at the SF position. what do yall think? please lemme know what u think of the rockets or any other picks.
i liked most of it. i think that gs will take wagner over dunleavy. they got dampier and foyle at center, which is a pretty nice tag team. they have fortson who is a rebounding monster, jamison and murphy as their forwards. there just isnt room or time for dunleavy. richardson is there franchise player at sg, but they need a point.
Looking good. Memphis may take Wagner at 4, and I can't see Caron Butler slipping all the way to ten unless he screws up his workouts. Woods might end up going to Miami at ten, and Butler to Denver at 5. But then, I'm usually tremendously wrong about the order of the draft, so take that with a grain of salt.
The type of SF the rockets need is a hard-nosed, huslte, team player who can D it up and shoot from the outside. It sounds like Nachbar fits that bill. I'd love to grab him at the 15.
While I see your reasoning behind it, I don't think Wilcox will go that late. I see him as the kind of player that will really impress in individual workouts and pre-draft camps, so his stock will rise.
yah i think you guys have a point about wilcox/ butler. i just right now cant see teams that would take them over a need. as for golden st. true they do need a PG. but i think wagner is a combo guard that is more SG. They could go for him though. I heard they were trying to get rid of some of their big men to allow jamison to play there more. this might be off though. glad most of you like it so far.
-Melvin Ely is a first rounder. Top 20, maybe even 15 IMO. I thought we would draft him, after taking a SF at #5/#6. -I think Detroit would take Haislip before Marcus Taylor. Detroit needs some front court scoring potential. Don't underestimate athletic 6'10'' guys who can jump through the roof. It got Moiso into the lottery. He should go before Clancy, and Gadzuric. -Grizzard is way too high. He just had an injury that'll keep him out 4 months, meaning he won't be able to show his stuff, coming off a dissapointing year. -A lot of people are saying Stoudemire to Phoenix at #9. I doubt they go for Jiri Welsch, though he should be in that area-they've got Marbury, Hardaway, Johnson, and Marion at the 1-3, and need more help up front. They'd take Haislip in that position. -Personally, I think the Grizz would go Wagner over Woods. Though, Jerry West knows what he's doing.
Nachbar has got a strong mid-range shot but doesn't have the usual European shooting range and has to work on his defense, but he is a hustle player.
No Nachbar (Neighbor in German) for me please. I think we would be much better off with someone like Hilario or otherwise we should trade the pick.
1st off, make Tsika fall to our 15. 2nd, I agree with Pued. Ely needs to be in the mix somewhere. If he is there when we pick we might just end up with 2 big guys from the draft. He definitely wouldn't fall past Philly, as they have no frontcourt depth after the creaky Dike and Coleman. The 3 isnt that big of an issue for them as they have Harpring and McKie who can fill that spot. Clancy injured his knee. Forgot how long he'll be out, so his stock will probly fall some if he can't show off in workouts. that's all I can think of for now. I hope the rocks pick the best available there, and not for need. There is some talent at the 15. Rush and Ely wouldnt be half bad as trade bait.
i know absolutely the minimum about nachbar but if he's even 80% of peja i'd love to take him. he would offer pretty much the equivalent of rashard lewis without the ego or big contract.
A hustle player with skills and court vision? Sounds awesome to me for the 5th starter! Defense can be taught. As far as the knock on his shooting, he shot 56.6% from 2 point range and 38.2 from 3 point range. Yes 56.6% from a perimeter player Sounds great on paper.
