I agree with the fact that the guards need to do a better job of finding him in the post. he's 7-6, not that hard to miss. AB and Ron Ron need to look for him more in the post
Uhhhh Yao is not the Athlete that Griffin is first of all. Yao is not nearly as mobile as he is. So you may want to rethink that idea. I know everybody likes to say he is not getting enough shots and touches but you also have to be honest about his abilities. It is VERY easy for a team to double him and front him. He does not have very good hands either so the passes to him have to be direct. He often struggles to get post position quickly. Face it, his lack of mobility, aggression, and stamina all contribute to his number of touches during the game.
BS...there is definantly a negative effect that the PG and others have on Yao's number of touches this year. He is the same player he has been in years past but this year for some reason they CANNOT get him the ball.
Who's arguing? The bottom line is that the Rockets have taken a very public stance that Yao needs to get the ball more. If you want to argue with anybody maybe you should send some hate mail to Morey/Adelman.
where did you see me argue? if rockets want yao to get the ball more, fine by me. but if it's not happening or can't happen, which seems to be the case, fine by me too.
The point is that the Rockets want to get Yao the ball more. Adelman's gone on record stating that Yao needs to be more assertive about getting the ball and it's a perpetual issue with both the media (Houston Chronicle) and the team. That makes it a legitimate topic for discussion. Also, given Adelman's comments to the press it seems a little ridiculous to be debating whether or not it's a good idea. The coach obviously thinks it is. As for the reason behind getting Yao the ball more, if it makes the Rockets a better team then obviously the Rockets should work on it.
Really, its the same bull since Yao has been here. According to most, no one that has ever played g has been able to get yao the ball. At some point, people should look at the receiver vs the passer. We never had problems getting Dream or Moses the ball. I've never read were the guards couldn't get shaq, zo, ewing, or those guys the ball. What's worng with the pic?
