Yeah, I just wished the season was about to start again and not finishing! Prolly won't catch any games this year unless I can get there before the playoffs start. Which is doubtful but i can look forward to alot of games next year and the trip to Toledo Ben! no more biased announcers, no more 199 for league pass. Bill, Clyde and Matt from now on! Well after the season anyway.
Not to get off topic, but how to I go about giving someone some rep? I havent got to post lately much due to work, funneral, and vaccation. This rep thing is new to me.
Congrats man. I'll hopefully be getting out of the Navy in the next year or so. I definitely hear you on the League Pass junk and finally getting to go to games at home. Plus Pappas BBQ is always a good incentive to come back.
Best of luck to you man cause when it comes time to get out, you will need it. Just the transition from military to civilian and finding a job home. Dealing with VA, benefits for your family. Just a big hassle man. I miss Whataburger, i think about it all the time!
Thanks. I know it won't be easy. It is a little scary, but I want to start the next phase of my life. I defiinitely am working on a plan to make it easier. The new GI bill provides some confidence though. I too miss Whataburger.
Just to let everyone i am still really happy! Start ACAP early and do it as often as your unit will allow that have alot of tools for you to use, IE job hunting, how to translate your resume to civilian terms. Just great services I assume your talking post 9/11 GI bill, that thing is great to have, it allows you alot of money for college and also they pay you BAH which in houston i believe is about 1,200 per month if thats where your going.

Yeah, its great. Its E5 with dependents starting in Aug. For H-Town that equates to about $1530 a month. Really makes it a little easier.
Yeah it has gone up quite a bit in the last 2 years i guess depending on zip code as well! It's gonna be great hopefully i will have my seperation date tomorrow and i will be on my way home by the end of the month. i just hope i don't miss any playoff games on the drive! I will have to plan better and make it on one of the days between the games! Thanks Scribo, I'm just trying to do my part and make the GARM a better place. For the record, I am not so happy today. I am so sick of the army and instead of doing something the correct way. they will try to find every loophole they possibly can! then they will get caught and have to do it again! I HATE THE ARMY!!
I am now very very excites again. My transition center called me that i already came down on the retirement list! I pick up my speration order on monday..... Which mean I will be in houston before the playoffs start!!!!
I take topomax for my cluster headaches or to prevent them anyway. Works very well but it is expensive, even with insurance. Good luck to you from here on out.
