Well, you got 6 pages out of it and counting, and managed to get FB and BJ mad at you. (I don't count... I've stayed mad at you for picking such an absurd new moniker, one that I can't spell!) Some things should never be contemplated. I think you've found that out. Ouch!

PnR is the bread and butter of the majority of teams in the NBA. Most effective against man D. Jerry is the master there.

Honestly, I think Jerry's Sloan biggest weakness is that he won't ever get a superstar whose ego exceeds his own. Utah is handicapped that a lot of players just wouldn't work under him. I don't think MJ could even play under him.

You contrast Jerry Sloan to Phil Jackson...and Phil's brand of basketball is much more around the players perspective. Intuition, feel, etc.

Sadly, Rockets is not a wrestling team. He would be a GREAT wrestling coach.

Would you want Hitler leading your Passover seder?

Would you send your kids to the Ramsey Day Care Center?

Would you want a lap dance from Lorena Bobbit?

    I just don't understand y'all sometimes...

I think Sloan is ideal for Utah and that situation, I don't think he really translates that well to superstar-laden teams or less irrelevant cities/franchises etc.

It wouldn't be a great idea but I wouldn't mind. He is a hell of a coach. The only problem would be to make the guys go through another transaction of learning another type of offense. If Jerry Sloan was to ever leave the Jazz then he is going to retire. I believe he is in his 22nd year of coaching. Then if I'm correct he signed a contract extention with the Jazz already.

Come on dude. This is just wrong. I would rather be a team with two championships that does not cheat, and flop, than a team that cheats and still has not won anything. This is borderline treason against the rox!

As of this exact moment of my post, there are 168 voters that need to be pimpslapped across the head (if they are true Rockets fans).

    Will, howdy!

I had my house trashed by IKE, tore both hamstrings a week later, can still only walk very off-balance. No insurance $'s, no Fema $'s. Finally got a large SBA loan. My back fence is finally being fixed this week, now the contractor told me he has got his old job back so he will probably leave before the fence and the roof are completed. The company I worked for went under, and luckily I found a new job a few weeks later in November. Bad scene, my predecessor left a huge mess and my managers think I should be Jesus and heal the books in mere days while feeding thousands with nothing.

I work so many hours I have almost no time to post on a regular basis - Will you can check my post log. But this is worth it. You threw me off CF a few years ago for making fun of you. And I am so tired of medicority Well, Will, here I go again. You were an idiot and I had to talk to Clutch to get back on, but here I go again. You are still an idiot.

    I like my tribal hatred.

No compromise. Jerry Sloan sucks big time. Maybe he even sucks Patrick Ewing, I don't know. But what I do know is no-one in Houston should suck off Jerry Sloan. Not even you. Have a nice day Will. See you in a few years.

He's dirty. He was dirty as a player and is dirty as a coach. I do not want that sort of basketball to be associated with the Rockets.

Yeah, I disagree with that a bit. Though I couldn't stand them, the Jazz teams the Rockets beat on the way to their titles had two of the greatest players in the league in Stockton and Malone. And they had a hell of a cast around them.

Now they have another great combination at both spots (with another top PG in Williams) and a pretty solid supporting cast. Hell, AK looked like a potential all star before he went mental.

Sloan's just been in one spot for 20 years. Of course there are going to be some teams with a little less talent; but I think that's more a law of averages. He still hasn't got a ring to show for it.

I would rather to want Charles Barkley to coach rockets.

You, Sir, are a flat-out liar. I have no idea what you're talking about. But if somebody banned you, it's no wonder.

This is all hypothetical but its not like the Rox would retroactively lose their two championships if Jerry Sloan became the coach.

I started this thread a couple of years ago and the overwhelming consensus was "No" to Jerry Sloan coaching the Rox. Any change of opinion?
