I was just thinking about this the other day. How long do you think you will be posting here. I have been a regular for over 6 years and I have a high avg per day. Some people have been posting for 10 years now and some for 13 years I believe. I'm in my thirties, I can see posting well into my 50s if its still around. What if its around when you're elderly?

I've been on here ever since I read about it in the Chronicle way back after the second championship. Maybe sometime around 1996? Its interesting to see how its changed.

I don't think this site will go anywhere unless the internet as we know it ceases to exist. You can't stop the CF-train, baby!

Oh, and I'll keep posting (slowly) until that day comes. Or unless I cease to exist first!

i expect to be around in some capacity for at least 30 years. Of course, if I change careers and start a job that leaves me with very little free time, and then I have other obligations in the future.. I make no promises =P

Hell, I've been here since 1997. 12 years now....don't see why I wouldn't stay around.

It'd take a pretty drastic change of events for me to leave, like Clutch 'retiring' or something, and the BBS turning into some semblance of the ESPN boards or something.

This reminds me of a thread I made a while back about how the internet and message boards in particular are going to be these huge archives of 50+ years that we can all look back on and sort of relive our lives to some extent. It's like writing in a diary, but less gay.

Of course that's all assuming that bandwidth costs go down so it becomes unnecessary to delete old message board content like it sometimes is currently.

So, out of 15 posts, minus your own which makes 14... you've been here longer than 12.

    Amazing factoid!

10 Reasons I'D stop visiting this site or be unable to.

    1. Doomsday or an Apocalyptic event (for obvious reason), I wouldn't be able to attend the site.

    2. Death or severe illness...plain simple, like the first one.

    3. The Rockets have just signed Jerry Sloan as Head Coach. :D

    4. Les pulls a Bud Adams (or Robert Isray) on Houston and skips out of town.

    5. Banned, which is very likely for inappropriate content or language.

    6. Clutch Fans is bought out and turns into an generic NBA fan site, instead of Houston Rockets fan site.

    7. I'm still alive, but have been sent to another planet or place where I can't use the internet. But, I would still be Rockets fan.

    8. Mark Cuban has just bought the Houston Rockets, I know it is unlikely, but if it ever happened I can kiss the Rockets good bye.

    9. If team is just simply shut down...which has been known happen from poor revenue or etc.

    10. The Rockets turn out to be an underground cult (like Heaven's Gate) who kidnaps baby and older women for sacrifice, and believe that the Alien God, Zuno-Zimba, will return to Earth and bring salvation after the Rockets win 5 more championships. Because, he required that every owner is indebted to the job of fulfilling his earthly wish (as a ritual) to fulfill his personal obligation of seeing a team, he partially created succeed in the NBA.

As long as there is a Clutch in some form with the Houston Rockets, there will be a Clutch Fans.

Sad thing is if I ever scored Scarlett Johansson, I'd come to this board to tell about it about...
