OK, I'm sold. Let's draft Ming. Les can create Ming Wings and sell them at the Laptop. Of course they would be made out of Tofu. Back on the subject. We want Ming. That's great, but I'm greedy. Chicago wants Jay williams BAD . How can we convince them that we're indifferent and would just as soon take Dunleavy. We might just trade down with a team that also wants Jay and don't want Chicago to have him. So maybe we tell Jerry that we will select Ming if he will trade Fizer (for DaDakota) and a couple of second rounders for Kenny Thomas. Whatever, the deal is negotiable. My point is, can we scare Krause into a deal. Secondly, and this is arguable. If we draft Ming, then Cato will revert back to his former self. This is unacceptable. Maybe he goes to Chicago as well and we get Robinson. Maybe he goes to Orlando and we discount tickets to Disneyworld. Who knows, but I think you have to clean house if we're serious about the playoffs. Get rid of him now, wile he's worth something. Collier can set decent picks and his shooting and attitude are better for our bench than 6'11" underachiever that now feels that he's been disrespected. Talk amongst yourselves. By the way, It's been a while since I've posted and it's nice to see some excitement around here.
Relativist, I live in the Philippines. If you're fortunate enough to get ESPN Asia where you're staying in Taiwan, then you're in good hands. Since the debut of ESPN Asia in 1992, we've had the pleasure of getting all the TNT and TBS NBA coverage, and the occasional weekend NBC games (even doubleheaders). Also, all playoff games are shown, save for the first round where only one or two out of a particular evening's three or four games are shown. Instead of worrying if we'll be able to watch Rockets games in Asia, let's hope that next year's season TV coverage airs many Houston games. Since ESPN and ABC won the rights to televise NBA games for the next few years, I'm hoping that ESPN Asia follows suit and we get pregame, halftime, and postgame shows as well (which we currently don't get). If you're interested, we also get season coverage of the NHL, NFL, and MLB. Plus SportsCenter everyday (unless pre-empted by Eurpoean soccer and Taiwan Major League Baseball). Finally, since I'm already here, my two cents on the draft: GET YAO MING. I haven't seen the guy play but: 1. The positives outweigh the negatives. 2. We need a center. There's no other GREAT center out there, besides Shaq and Tim Duncan (if he does opt to play center). 3. If he's the next Rik Smits, then that's already a plus rather than a minus. 4. I'm Chinese. It'd be great to root for a fellow Chinese playing for my favorite team.
