There is no way that there is a 50% chance of Scenario 1. By my simulation, the Rockets have only about a 30% of getting exactly the 4th seed let alone all the other seedings. His probabilities are just nonsense.

You'd rather play the Celtics than the Cavs in the Finals? That's crazy talk! Rotating Artest and Battier completely shut Lebron down before and we can then beat them up with Yao and Scola/Landry in the middle. Granted Lebron will end up getting his in the Finals, but he'll be contained and won't be able to break out in scoring streaks and lead his team. Plus no easy layups or dunks to break out of a shooting slump like he can do in the East. Boston on the other hand would be the tougher and more physical team that could cause us match up problems at the point and power forward position.
And thats again assuming that either of you even has an accurate formula. The fact is its impossible to predict playoff seeds. You can't just simply use how a team has done this season to predict the rest of the season. You can take two different starting lineups we've used this year and you will probably come up with the difference between a huge win and a huge loss. You also can't account for future injuries, teams with guarenteed playoff spots not trying, etc. Just hope for HCA, who we play is irrelevant.
Right? This team is made to play against the Cavs. The Celtics would take the Rockets in 6 games or less.
It's merely a prediction by guessing wins and losses. Nothing to be taken too seriously. I just liked the comments that went with them.
My Ideal Scenario/Road to The (WC) Finals 1. LAL 2. HOU 3. DEN 4. SAS 5. UTAH 6. NO 7. POR 8. DAL IMO, getting the #2 seed/winning the division and DEN winning theirs is important. Of course, this seeding is dependent on quite a few other things but this outlook more than guarantees HOU the WCF. As I much as I believe we can beat LA, this year's team has kept games close only to give them away in the end. If we've learned from those mistakes, than the slim odds of beating LA to get to The Finals will come true. Go Rockets!!!
