http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/recap?gid=2009033014 Backup point guard Luther Head broke his left hand during the game and will miss four to six weeks, meaning there likely will be no way he’s available for Miami’s first-round playoff series. Poor guy.
I would have guessed he hurt his ankle doing all those jab steps he does when in his non-threatening triple threat stance.
Someone will sign him, he's a good three point shooter that can do a little bit of penetrating and plays solid defense.
Maybe he was the reason for the injury curse in Houston? We'll see soon if my theory is correct, D-Wade, I know you're smiling.
Haha!! I always wondered why he did that. He couldn't do anything from it, but bring the foot back into position to make a move.
Scouting report for Luther Head in triple threat mode: "Just guard the shot. If he dribbles or tries to pass the ball, turnover probability high. Laughing at the lack of 2 out of 3 threats, optional."
OH,my gosh! It's Loser Head, who we had almost traded for Brandon Roy! Yeah, with the first round pick... He's been the only first round player of us except AB since we drafted Yao in 2002. AB will never be our starting PG for the future. Man, it sucks! Where were our first round picks!?
Solid?! Since when does 'solid' mean the same thing as 'horrible'? Anyway, will Miami miss him? I doubt it, he had a suck differential of +5 today.
Interestingly, that last statement elicited this reaction from Wade. Something about Luther Head sucking in the playoffs. I don't know.
I'm not sure if Luther missing the playoffs helps or hurts him in getting a nice contract this summer.
Three of our recent first round picks went to players in our starting lineup (two through trades). I'd say that's pretty good for a team that's usually picking at the end of the first round.
