    I still don't get how we clinched. I mean the Spurs haven't yet and the tiebreaker still goes to them... 2-2, 9-6 division.. I think it's a error or a typo.

    Not a typo. The tiebreaker between the Rockets and Spurs has nothing to do with the Rockets clinching a playoff spot.

    The Rockets have the tiebreaker over the Suns clinched, so the Rockets have clinched over the Suns.

    Maybe because we won the season series against the Suns? Would that technically put us 1 additional game over the Suns?

    (edit) Well, the Spurs won the season series against the Suns, too. So, actually I don't know why.

    The Spurs also clinched a playoff spot with the Suns loss. They were 3-1 against the Suns this year.

    We are the second team in the west to clinch a playoff spot.
    Spurs and Nuggets don't make it although they have the same wins as Rockets due to their direct wins against Suns.

    We beat Pho twice with one remaining, and even we lose the next one we still win 2-1 to Pho. The max wins Pho can get is 48, we have 48 already. So we clinch.
