    got my wish tonight.

(btw, you don't put "tough" and "flopper" in the same sentence, ever.)

I do. But I really think Paul will bolt New Orleans when his contract is up. That team really doesn't have much talent.

Of all the big stars, I think Chris Paul is most likely to leave his current team.

I assume you're talking about my post.

First, I didn't use those two words in the same sentence.

Even if I had, I was just adding the point that I'm aware that he does that stuff at times.

Lowry does it, too. Do you think Lowry is soft?

I don't think you can make the absolute statement that a player who occasionally flops can not possibly be tough as well. Chris Paul and Kyle Lowry are both players that are tough in my book but who also act a little bit, sometimes a lot.

    Lol...Suns in a battle tonight.

Mavs lose and Suns play the kings...surely that's a win for the Suns right...

So if Phoenix loses tonight, we clinch a playoff spot?

Rashad McCants is another one of those under the radar players I've liked for a while. I know he's pretty one-dimensional and has some attitude problems but he has some good upside in my opinion.

How do you guys feel about McCants?

Paul "acts" a lot more than Lowry and it isn't occasional; it's a big part of his game. I wouldn't use one game to determine whether he is tough or not. Today Paul played like a reckless warrior and deserves credit for it. He took a lot more punishment than he usually does. But Chris Paul doesn't always play like this and most games, the contact he absorbs is because he caused it and flopped. His cheap leg kick of Tony Parket is more indicative of Paul's whiney "toughness" on a regular basis.

They aren't going to catch the Nuggets or the Rockets. We'll pwn them in Houston when they come here... I think the Mavs will beat them at least ONCE out of those two games. That should do it for them. Rockets and Nuggets got their schedule pretty favorable, they should get the 2,3,4 seeds.

a little sensitive, eh? honestly i didn't even realize whose post i was referring to; i just knew someone said cp3 is "tough" when i skimmed down the thread and i disagree.

the thing is, cp3 doesn't just "occasionally" flop. he spends a big chunk of his time flopping on the court and it's now part of his game. i just can never see any toughness out of a big flopper.

Those last 4 teams you listed aren't part of that closing 7-game stretch.

ESPN showed their remaining schedule during the game tonight and Tirico said they have the toughest final 7 games of any team in the NBA. Sure, that's just based on SOS or whatever so there are other factors to consider as you pointed out.

The Hornets played well tonight but they've struggled a lot recently, most recently losing to the Knicks who hadn't won a game in a couple of weeks. No matter how you twist, their last 7 games are relatively tough and they've been battling injuries for weeks. Even if some or all of their injured players return, they won't have a lot of time to get their legs back under them.

I don't know much about him, I usually avoid Minnesota games. From what I know he's a streaky scorer.

Skill-wise is he much better than Wafer? He'd basically would have Wafer's role so we'd be comparing him to Wafer. I think he's more consistent shooter than Wafer, but I haven't really seen him play this season.

Lowry seems to act "a lot" as well from what I've seen. I'd also say it's a "big part" of his game. I've seen him do a bunch of it on both ends of the court, including almost every time he's bringing the ball up the court under pressure. He's done it a lot on drives to the basket, too, even when there was clearly no contact or he just turned the ball over.

I've read your opinions about Paul and I just find him to be an incredibly tough player, both mentally and physically, regardless of his other antics.

Very sensitive or passionate... whatever you want to call it. ;)

Paul is incredibly tough, both physically and mentally.

I'll take it even further. Paul is one of the toughest players in the entire league.
