You can't just drop a line like that and leave us hanging, man. How did you get that deal? Unless you work for them of course.
We switched from Verizon the ATT because of the iPhone. Never had a problem with Verizon. In fact, the service was excellent. ATT really has a cash cow with their Apple/iPhone deal, because we definitely pay more for the service (I've heard that Apple is really making out like a bandit, getting tons of revenue from ATT, so maybe they don't make as much as I think!). Gotta say, though, that both of us love our iPhones!
+1 I've dealt w/ enough spotty service my whole life, I'm not dealing w/ that crap anymore. I've probably had 1 or 2 instances where I couldn't make a call in the past 3 years. I hate how they cripple their phones and put their own garbage software on it though.
i was with tmobile, switched to ATT and now back to tmobile, their 15% discount for students is really enticing, plus coverage here is good, no complaints from me lol.
I have been with T-Mobile for 3 years now. Before that, I was with Sprint. I paid a lot more and had service that was almost unusable. I have had few problems with the T-Mobile service for a good price. I use my phone extensively. BTW...I just logged into my T-Mobile account online and was offered the $49.99 deal. I switched to it. Now I am going to save about $15.00 a month and no thinking about whether somebody is in my fave 5.
15% student discount, WTF, no one ever told me..... and i've been with them for over 5 years for verizon folks, there is a blackberry niagra coming out, it the size of a curve but with 3g, looks promising
i think this was pretty recent, my contract ran out in late january and a friend told me that tmobile was offering 10-15% off of your bill if you provide them with a .edu email address. i am not sure if it works for all schools, but this was the list i got when i was getting a new contract. http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/deal-discussion/903026/
My understanding is the $49.99/mo with unlimited minutes is only for accounts with T-Mobile at least 24 months. The "Loyalty Plan". It's T-Mobile's attempt to reduce "churn". If you log into your account online or call customer service from your phone, you will be automatically notified of the offer. You can add more lines to the unlimited plan for an additional $39.99/mo. What I like least about T-Mobile is most of their customer service is done in the Philippines and it is HORRIFIC! I won't bother with stories. My wife and son now have unlimited minutes and unlimited text for only $49.99 + $39.99 + $19.99 = $109.97 + tax. It's an incredible deal that will keep them with T-Mobile indefinitely. Any temptation to switch is gone, so it doesn't matter that they didn't even make me commit to another 12 or 24 months. No contract is involved. My Blackberry is paid for by the job and is also with T-Mobile. Their coverage is mediocre but it's good enough. When I go overseas, the coverage is stellar no matter what part of the world. Going forward, I think it's important that T-Mobile and Sprint remain viable competitors to AT&T and Verizon. Otherwise, the prices for everybody will go way up. Even if you don't like them, the two smaller carriers are good for consumers.
I've been with T-Mobile for nine years myself and I never had any problems ... their customer service has been nothing but super nice to me whenever I called. I also got offered that deal ... It's been out nationwide to qualified customers since March 2nd. The only thing that bothered me was that after Hurricane Ike, I had to stand out in the middle of the street to place a call while the rest of the family who has AT&T had better reception. Besides rollover, this made me consider going to AT&T however that natural disaster was the only time in years they had more signal bars than me. Their signal fluctuates all the time, while mine is a steady.
I have been with T-Mobile for 3 years now. They have always been awesome. Initially they told me no for the unlimited plan because I was getting a corporate discount. I explained that I had the plan before I was getting the corporate discount and that I had been with them for longer than the 22 months needed for the unlimited plan. I was also very pleasant about it and explained that I shouldn't be punished for taking advantage of a discount they offered because I happened to work with someone they partnered with. They transferred me to customer care and the agent agreed that I shouldn't be punished (a word I planted in her head when we first got on the phone...) Oh and by the way, anybody that is paying more than 5.99 a month for emails and web access just hasn't taken the time to do the research. The old WAP plan is 5.99 a month. With some tweaks that you can find on the net, I access my exchange server from work with constant email updates and web access through T-Zones if Wi-Fi is not available for free...
i have AT&T and im not completely satisfied with it, it sucks a lot more now... I have heard that Verizon is generally accepted as the best service, and all my friends that have it get a lot better reception in more places than i do....
I <3 T-Mobile. We've had them forever. Every time I call about something the rep always tells me how my plan is awesome and they don't even offer deals that good anymore. I have been having more dropped calls lately, but the price I pay makes it okay.
Never had a problem with T-mo. Been with them 5-6 years. Great provider and great rates. Literally ZERO dropped calls.
You got them to give you the unlimited plan for $49.99? I just called and got the 12% discount that i've been getting changed to the 15% student discount and she said she couldn't give me the unlimited plan because it's only in test mode and is only offered to certain people. I've been with T-mobile since 2003, give me some damn unlimited minutes! I'm going to try again later or tomorrow.
I had T-Mobile for 8 years, I signed up with them when they were still Voice Stream. I switched over to Verizon last year though because my company took over my cell phone bill, and that's the carrier they use. I had zero problems with T-Mobile though during all of that time, and I've been very happy with Verizon's service so far.
I have the same thing thanks to my fiancee's uncle. 23 bucks a month for unlimited web, unlimited text, 500 anytime mins. Its pretty friggin sweet.
