These are some of the good ideas I have read here.

What about #1 to Memphis for Gausol and they let us keep our #1 next year?

trade the #1 pick for Rasheed Wallace

Draft Yao Ming and then trade KT and #15 to whoever can get us that Tshvkallis dude

#1 to the Phoenix Suns for Marion and their #9 pick.

#1, #15, KT, and Rice for Duncan. Rice could be used as a pawn next year. Players in the last year of their contract are very valuable comodities. San Antonio could probably trade him next year.

This would be the way I would like to see it go if we cant get Duncan, Rasheed or Garnett. Call Chicago and GS and tell them let the bidding begin. Knowing all allong that Chicago is getting the pick. Trade with Chicago make them throw in Tyson Chandler or Eddie Curry and swap picks. After the trade call up GS tell them you are thinking about trading the pick to Memphis who wants J Willliams since Ming is gone. Tell them we will trade picks with them if you throw Danny Fortson in. Now draft M Dunleavy with the 3rd pick. Now we have made our front court deep and versatile by adding Chandler or Curry, Danny Fortson and Dunleavy. We come out of the draft with a C, PF and SF. Playoffs here we come!:D :D :D I know I'm dreaming.:) Man this is going to be a fun off-season.  :D :p

    Draft #1 Y.Ming , 15#A.Stoudmire , 34# S.Logan and trade K.Thomas and Mooch for B.Nachbar .

    Imagine :

    Y.Ming/A.Stoudmire
    E.Griffin/M.Taylor
    B.Nachbar/T.Morris
    C.Mobley/O.Torres
    S.Francis/S.Logan

The best idea, is trading for Duncan. But what would it take?

Here's what I propose. We trade our #15, and Kt to Milwaukee for their #13. The on draft day, we pick Ming and Amare Stoudamire. This is what we offer:

    Ming
    Stoudamire
To match salaries and have temporary starters, we let them pick 2 out of 3: Rice, Mo T, Cato.

They'll likely go with Rice and Cato. Rice expires in 2 seasons. Cato can play the 4/5 till Ming and Stoudamire develop.

They send us Duncan. Our line-up:

    Duncan
    Griffin
    T-Mo/FA/2nd rounder
    Mobley
    Francis

That's incredible. If he took his team to the conference semis, he can take us to the finals easily. If Bowen opts out, he can be our SF. Imagine:

    Duncan
    Griffin
    Bowen
    Mobley
    Francis

    Here’s one I like.

Trade #1, #15 to Memphis for Gasol and #4 and erase next year’s obligation to them.

I can see Rudy going for this. We get Gasol ROY and with #4 we can draft who ever is left Woods, Dunleavy or Butler and we get to keep next years first round pick. It just depends on whether you want to wait a year or two to be real contender. Griffin and Gasol are young and with a couple of years of NBA experience and weight training could be a dominating frontcourt.

Ok let me hear about how China will not let Ming go to Memphis and how Memphis will not let Gasol go. :p

The Grizzlies aren't going to do any deal involving Gasol. Why trade a proven guy, that you took a chance on last year, for an unproven guy to take a chance on this year.

You can pretty much forget Duncan though, even if S.A. wanted to do it. San Antonio doesn't have a large Chinese market, and I believe that might be one of the requirements for where he plays. Neither does Memphis for that matter.

You guys all want to trade away for Duncan...

Who said he'd stay here if we got him? He'd play for a year and go somewhere else.. we just lost our whole talent we're starting over... REAL smart..

Mings rep has said that Ming will not pull a John Ellway.

West has said he is not happy with the team he has and would really like to have the #1 pick. He could see this as a LA all over again. Remember when he brought the most promising big young center to LA and preceded to build a championship team around him.

My favorite trade proposal is the # 1 to Chicago for # 2 and Tyson Chandler. That will be an AWESOME trade for the Rox!!

It would be an unbelievable trade for the Rockets and Chicago will never do it.
I doubt if the Bulls will even trade either Curry or Chandler for Ming, but if they did I would consider it.
One of the trades that might work out is getting Marion and the 9th pick from the Suns and getting Borchardt or Marcus with it,and then using the 15th pick to get Hilario if he still there.

Here's a blockbuster. I haven't heard it rumored, but it makes sense. Three-way between Sixers, Wizards, and Rockets.

    Rockets get:
    Kwame Brown
    #11 pick

    Sixers get:
    #1 pick(Jay Williams)
    Maurice Taylor
    Courtney Alexander

    Wizards get:
    Allen Iverson
    Kelvin Cato

I don't know if this financially makes sense but I think it works for all teams. Obviously this is contingent on Jordan retiring, but it is interesting. Each team seems to get equal to what they give, except for the Sixers, but the #1 pick has its own value. The Wiz give up a lot, but Iverson has incredible value. From the Rockets standpoint, they could put Brown at SF next to Griffin and then have #'s 11 and 15 to draft a center and another SF. Meanwhile, they would get rid of Taylor and Cato's contracts. This is just conjecture, but hey that's what makes the draft so darned interesting.

You're kidding right, El Grande Queso.

You are trading a much more valuable pick and a better player at this time for kwame brown and the wizards pick.

That would be very stupid on our part.

While I am sure you like this its just plain silly ... :) ... The #15 basically cancels out the pick you owe Memphis next year. So basically you are suggesting that it would cost Gasol to trade up 3 positions in a draft without a clearcut no1 pick? ...
