I would lilke to see the Mavs and Rockets meet in the playoffs. It would be the 2004-2005 first round playoff series but with a role reversal. The Rockets would be the overwhelming favorite with the home court advantage. Despite the odds, the Mavs would win the first two games of the series and appear to be well on their way to a first round upset only to be screwed out of the series by consistently horrible calls in the Rockets favor and a few calls that can only be described as Donaughey-esque. Rick Carisle would even speak out regarding a conspiracy against Dirk Nowitski and ultimately receive a $100K fine and a threat of being banned from the NBA by Dictator Stern. In the end, the Rockets would prevail in a demoralizing beating of the Mavs in game 7 and with Dirk Nowitski saying "I'll have the last laugh" in the post game press conference.
The Rockets are scared of 2 teams. The Lakers and Jazz. Maybe the Spurs 3rd. If we had the choice of moving into 1st place so we could face Dallas in the first round, we would.

That 40pt game 7 loss coupled with the last time Tmac was truly great still haunts me.

Barea couldn't be more wrong. If anything, the Rockets should be hoping that somehow they get to play the Mavs. That would be the best possible first round opponent.
