The kid isn't dead. Otherwise he just cause a paradox... and the world should explode It will be interesting to see how they write out of this corner. Should be fun!
Ben is not dead, but I admire Ben's restraint. I mean if I were him I would have killed Sayid the second I met him again in 2004, but I guess he got his revenge though, turning Sayid into a soulless killer.
Producers vs ABC holding pattern - I could believe either one, I don't think we can trust any official word as being the real scoop, but I doubt either party minded until the ratings went south. Stephen King urged them to just tell their story and walk away during that time. I choose to side with "Ben's dead" as my immediate reaction. The Sun-Frank-Christian-(Claire) meet at the boarded up Processing building last episode really piqued my curiosity. Why was that building so different than the building in the Barracks proper we had seen last season? There were a couple of speculative theories bouncing around, one being that the Losties altered the past. Maybe they're right. But why would the island allow that? Why was the runway that team Ben built still be there? If Juliette/Jack save Ben after he got iced dead in the chest like that.......good god, I'll be annoyed. You last maybe 40 seconds after a hit like that.
Nope. Ben is dead. Sayid knows how to kill. At least that is what I hope happens. I'd love to see a show that shows the ramifications of time travel. If he isn't really dead, I'll be pissed. It was the first time I said "whoa" out loud since The Matrix came out.
Ben can't be dead because he is alive in 2007 and is with the ajira survivors. This is impossible, if he died that means none of this never happened.
This is Lost. A show with a smoke monster, island with healing powers, time travel, dead people walking around, immortal beings, and a giant four toed statue. Nothing is impossible.
No kidding. My "whoa" came from the idea that writer's would actually go with those ramifications. If they do a Bobby Ewing death was a dream, (or hoax, GOTCHA! He's not dead!) I'll be pissed.
The island wont let him die...it will make sure he heals extremely fast or some weird crap like that.
Tonight's ending had to be one of the biggest mind****s of Lost ever. My reaction to Sayid killing Ben was priceless. Can he even die? BTW, Oldham was using LSD on Sayid. The CIA used to put it on a sugar cube and give it to people in interrogations.
How the hell does Ben die? Wth will happen to the present Ben? Ugh, I have to wait until the next few episodes, UGH.
True. Lest we forget, John Locke was shot in a similar fashion, dropped into a pit full of rotting carcasses, and still lived through it. The island, she is a fickle mistress.
I think the clue is the book that Lil Ben gives Sayid, I think it was called Alternate Reality or Separate Reality. I think Lil Ben is dead but in that time stream, not the one that Sayid comes from.
Ben's fate right now according to the official synopsis of next weeks episode: Spoiler "Whatever Happened, Happened" - Kate goes to extreme measures to save Ben's life when Jack refuses to help. Meanwhile, Kate begins to tell the truth about the lie in order to protect Aaron, on "Lost," WEDNESDAY, APRIL 1 (9:00-10:02 p.m., ET) on ABC.
I really don't understand how a gun shot wound to the chest/abdomen can cause him to have a spinal tumor later in life... but since its lost, anything is possible I guess.
