Are you for real? Josh Smith is a beast. He has defense out of this world. He is an athletic big who sprints on both sides.
lol..yaa but i would sacrifice that position for him...cuz he is one guy that isn't afraid to guard anyone...him and battier guarding the best players is going to be great...and they can both make lots of adjustments since whoever we play it will be a long series so im looking forward to that
I'm glad you brought that up. You realize that Kobe (MVP and much better than you know who) was vouching for Artest to join the Lakers? You realize that getting Artest is a defensive move? Imagine if Tmac was healthy and Artest was on the Lakers, they would stick Artest on Tmac and Kobe would run buck wild. So yeah, I want Artest back, cause if Artest goes to a Western Conference Contender, we'd be screwed.
Josh Smith, Scola and Landry. That's a nice front line. It leaves a big fat hole at SG and SF positions. Battier and injured T-mac doesn't cut it.
I gotta admit that I wasn't too thrilled when we traded for Artest last summer. But after watching him in a Rox uni for a season, I'd like to have him back with a healthy TMac next year...if the price is reasonable.
Some of you guys have really short memory. TMac and Artest could not co-exist. Have you forgotten that they were shopping Artest like crazy before the trade deadline, until TMac said he's done for the season? If management wants to keep Artest, that's only because they have given up on McGrady, which is very possible. The Yao-McGrady-Artest "Big 3" experiment failed right off the gate.
Everybody hates Artest until he drops a 28-8-6-3 steals.... We've complained about toughness for years and we want to let the FIRST guy in forever that gives us an edgy, tough feel. Sure he misses some shots but they're all finding out how to play together. EVERYONE in the locker room loves Artest. If they can get him on a good deal, you MUST keep him. He's a great talent and he'll eventually find his niche with this team, as will Brooks, Wafer, Lowry, and everyone else who is just now getting to know each other on the court. And then you move Artest to the three and you go find a starting 2 guard who can shoot lights out. Shayne goes to the bench. Tinman - you and I are on the same page about Artest...but don't tell DaDakota!
wafer seems a better option at 2 than any other guy. Artest is our best player on our team and he can do a better job than wafer at the 2, but the 3 spot is his professional position where he can contribute the most to our team. a small group of so-called rockets fans just blame Ron for his terrible FG%, ignoring that no one can shoot the ball well when he is tired. As our starting shooting guard Ron Artest has to match up our opponent SG who is lighter and quicker than him, it costs Artest much energy on both ends to match up with a SG and it easily makes him tired, which is the main reason why he dangs the rim at times.
AB/Lowry Joe Johnson/(Wafer/White???) Ron Artest/Battier Scola/Landry/Hayes Yao/Dorsey = A real Big 3 = NICE!!! Sorry T-Mac
Guess we know now why Hoffman was pushing the questions on Ron's PETA connections when he and Nuno spoke with the guy. It's a good summation though
