Well after reading about all the possible deals(from TRG and bskball) and everyone's(you guys) wants. I've come up with a trade scenario that works under the cap( I think the cap is 80 mil, right) and it's a for team deal. 1st we don't resign our 4 of our 5 free agents : Langhi, Willis, Williams, and Brown. Then we send #1 pick to NY for Othello Harrington and the #7, and NY sends Camby and Spree to Minnesota, also we send Collier and Taylor to Minnesota and receive Garnett. Then we send Moochie, Rice and the #15 to Seattle for a sign and trade deal for R Lewis, and Seattle also sends Vin Baker(who wants out) and Shammond Williams(who wans out too) to NY. This deal gets each team compensated, rid of the players they don't want, or helps them to create cap space. With the 7th pick, we can take Borchart, Ely, Butler, Tschvilli(whatever his name is), or Nene. Cap Situation: Player 2002-03 2003-04 Cuttino Mobley $5.00 $5.00 SG Rashard lewis $10.00 $10.00 SF Kelvin Cato $7.00 $7.00 SC Steve Francis $4.00 $12.50 PG Kevin Garnett $25.00 $26.00 PF Oscar Torres $1.00 $1.00 G Juan Dixon(#38) $0.75 $0.75 G Eddie Griffin $3.00 $3.00 F Kenny Thomas $1.00 $1.00 F Terence Morris $1.00 $1.00 F Othello Harrington $4.00 $4.00 F-C #7 $2.50 $2.50 C Salary Totals $64,250,000 $73,750,000 This scenario above is workable under the cap assuming that we offer Rashard around 10 mill a year which is under the max that he is aking and it also considers that Steve's max is 12.5 mill(about the going max for points around the league). Only problem comes when we have to re-sign Kenny and Griff, will we have enough money? The other trade stipilated was #1 and players not named traded with the Clipps for Kandi, Odom, and Maggete. But i think same problem might accour with the cap, as Odom and Kandi are both players that wil be offer Max. Which would you guys take, KG and Lewis or Kandi/Maggette/Odom/? ps steve seems to be happy with the play of Cato, hinting that maybe we dont need Ming.
