Wafer is a scrub. I'm not sure what people saw in him. He doesn't play to the team's strength (half-court ball) and he is a stat-padder. Is he having a contract year that I don't know about? Because again, he is the worse Rockets in uniform and I just hate to watch him play.

He comes in 7 minutes and shoots 7 times. He comes in 10 minutes and shoots 12 times. Like I said in another thread and I'm really convinced that this kid has more FGA per minute played than any other Rocket.

The only time he is worth having on the floor is when he is playing with Yao as the focal point because Wafer takes it inside strong. But he doesn't. He likes to run.

I agree with you, right on the spot. Those two guys cost us the game.

Wafer is only good with Landry and Lowry in the game, and Yao/Artest out. Wafer needs to become the focal point of the bench lineup.

Yao - Artest is the 1-2 option for the starters.
Wafer - Landry is the 1-2 option for the bench.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you about artest.
I love Ron but I no longer trust him with the ball after tonight.
It should be Yao - Scola as the 1-2 punch.

Yao Ming played a very good game tonight. Consistent effort, aggressive on the boards, strong hands on the ball, good passing, good decisions. He did all the things I constantly fault him for not doing. If he plays this well in the playoffs, we're in good shape.

    agreed.

i was impressed by his defense on boozer tonight, though part of that had to do with the fact that they weren't calling a lot of tic-tac fouls. i was thinking, man had yao played this type of defense 2 years ago, we'd have won that series 4-1.

his shots were off today. some of that was he wasn't able to get into his groove early.

guards got killed by jazz. don't try to shift blame to yao.

more of the same in playoffs. double, triple yao leave those guys open to shoot. rockets may win big 1 out of 4 games but will lose in series to jazz, spurs.

rockets too easy to defend without consistent secondary big scoring threat

Yao can not score 13 points against the Jazz no matter how good he plays on defense and expect the team to win. he still can not hold the ball or block him man on rebounds or passes and he is still commiting silly turn-overs.
