Since when do the Jazz care about not flopping on national television? Gimme 10, and I might be a little on the generous side as well.
I have to say 4 obvious flops and 2more questionable/ disguised flops...totaling a number of 6 flops.
You see, last time Sloan really had to reach deep down into his evil bag of flops to beat us. We were getting too used to Okur's flops, so Yao was cautiously backing in slowly and then passing the ball out when he sensed the flop about to happen. So Sloan came up with the "Ace in the hole" and brought Brewer over on a double team so he could pull a flop that Adelman would never see coming. Brewer executed the flop perfectly and that proved to be the difference maker in the Jazz winning the last game. If we can somehow gameplan for that "surprise flop" maybe we'll have a chance to win tonight.
Over / Under Carlos Boozer grabs a Rockets Player's jersey to secure an offensive rebound (1.5) Mehmet Okur draws an offensive foul on Yao Ming (2) Andrei Kirilenko flops (2.5) Deron Williams blows by Aaron Brooks for a layup (4.5) Matt Harpring takes out Yao Ming's arms and is not called for a foul (2.5)
Wasn't the playoffs on national television? That didn't stop the Jazz from flopping and it didn't stop the refs from blowing their whistle.
From Hollinger's pace statistics, Utah has about 95 possessions per game while Houston has 92.8. Combining those two numbers leads to me to guess that they will flop...oh, 281 times, using their average of 1 flops on each offensive possession and 2 on the defensive side.
I say they'll flop around 3 times..watch out for Okur and Korver..underrated floppers ! if only JVG was announcing this game..he'd call every flop
as i mention in my OP its not the total number of flops the entire game that is going to be like at least 20+ but the number of flops that they can fool the refs into calling a foul for either way on offense or defense
Over 1.5, easily. I'll take it. Barely under 2.5. Barely under 4.5. OVER 2.5. I'll be counting. And probably drinking.
I thought he shot an off balance shot and Boozer got him with the hip. Off balance is why he went to the floor. Surprisingly the Jazz havent flopped much, I can only remember one where Brewer/Miles flew to the floor after a Rocket pivoted off of them. It wasn't rewarded.
Jazz has flopped twice by my count right now. If they want to play this game, Scola and Batman will beat them. (But I fear that grandmaster of flop has not yet started)
