The only question left is do we take yao or trade the pick. I dont see us taking J Will so do we take yao or teade for someone else. This opens up a whole new can of worms. We could get Marion, Odom, Kandi, Ratliff, Abdur-Rahim, or maybe even ( gasp ) Vincent Carter. Could u guys imagine #1/KT/Rice for VC??? Or do we take yao??? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH the possibilities. Francis ( Luckiest man alive!!!! ) Cat Carter Griffen Cato ??????????????????????????? Francis Cat Rice Griffen Ming ??????????????????????????????? What do we do?????????
I am so hapy for the rockets but I just hope the front office doesnt blow this one. IMO they should trade the pick for a PROVEN big man/forward. Yao is a big question mark in my book and is only a project. Can we get A. Mcdyess???
Keep Ming. Its always a gamble, but not many picks aren't. Scary starting 5 with EG and YM. I wonder how his skills will translate to the NBA. Way too good an opportunity to pass on. The other way is a sign and trade, sign/trade him + players to make the salary match but why would we do that. Even though his competition was probably poor, he shot 70% and had a 35 rebound game. Who knows how that might translate.
If we do get Odom and Kandi I think it will b a mistake. Francis, Taylor, and Odom going out all the time partying rolling blunts drinking beer. oh oh could we try to get Marbury too?
I think we should draft Yao Ming. But after we do, let's listen to what offers we get from him. Keep our options open, and if we get a really good trade proposal, heck, do the trade. Otherwise, I think Yao Ming will be pretty good with the Rockets. Houston HAS got to draft Yao with #1. It would be stupid to do otherwise. He's 21 and I don't figure him to turn out as a stiff pole.
Trust me, the raptors do want to trade Vince if the price is right. the 1 plus Rice( for contractual purposes ) plus KT ( for added value ) for Carter, they would definatly do. I have read in Slam and ESPN that VC will almost definatly not finish his contract in Toronto.
I'm not sold on Ming at all. Besides all the BS we will have to go through with the Chinese "Government," there are still legitemate questions about what he brings to the table. When people talk about his low post moves, that's only against smaller Chinese players that you ever see that. Against the USA, he was camped out on the 3 point line. Sure he can get blocks, but so can Griffin and he has not been confused for a low post power(yet). Ming is a 7'5" guard an we should trade the #1 pick for a good player and a lower lottery pick.
I am not sold on Ming. I am not sold on Carter either. What else you got? Man, isn't it great to have the number one!
