I got an invitation for two from the Rockets to go the the toyota center on thursday (6pm-8pm) to meet with the players. Do you guys know what it is?
Wow.. two ignorant posts. I haven't heard anything about Thursday, but I'm sure it's legit. I would call the Toyota Center box office or something.. to make sure, unless someone else here has gotten a similar email.
probably some PR thing sounds like it should be a good time unless the players are Brian Cook and Joey Dorsey then maybe not so much
I would guess a team event of some kind or some practice. The timing fits anyways, the Rockets are in town for a four day break starting after the game in Utah on Tuesday and stretching all the way to a home game against the Clippers Saturday.
Got E-mail said: "The Houston Rockets are excited to announce our 7th annual Play Day on March 26th, 2009. There will be fun, food and games with the entire Rockets team and appearances by Clutch & the Rockets Power Dancers. " Don't see that on Rockets web site. I guess it is for season and partial plan tickets holders only.
I got one too. Im goin with a friend it should be pretty cool. I called and talked to my ticket rep about what it is and he told me it is just for season ticket and game pack purchasers, and it is activities and food and drinks and fun. He also said it is cool to wear a T-Shirt, shorts and tennis shoes if you plan on participating in the activities. thats all i know. fore more info call ur ticket rep
Wow nobody else has season tickets? Play days are hella fun, do a search I've created threads and posted pics
I'm going to go out on a limb here. It's an invitation to meet the players on Thursday from 6-8 at the Toyota center.
Play days are a blast. Got to play craps with Moochie Norris at one a few seasons back and had a really good time, dude is hilarious. That was back when they had them elsewhere. Last I went to at Toyota center, I raced cars with Scola, saw Novak play some Air Hockey, saw TMAC play some ping pong (mob scene), bumped into Landry and exchanged a "hey!"... plus got a few autographs (Luther, AB, and Chuck Hayes). I preferred the ones with the raffles and the table games, but any of it is a good time.
