If Utah misses the playoffs then they are in the lottery. With our luck, they'll win that lottery pick and get some great player. I would rather watch Utah get knocked out of the first round. The Suns on the other hand have bad luck and therefore their lottery pick will be a bad one, let them keep it.
I want Utah to make the playoffs. I just want them to fall to the #8 seed because they play LA tough and will at least beat on them for a few games. The Lakers still struggle with PG's that can really penetrate, so I hope they catch Utah in round one and New Orleans in round two.
I think there's a chance because they face us, then the 9 seed Suns twice in a row. Then all the rest of those games? A 3 game losing streak will really get them sliding IMO.
Though it's dangerous trying to set up somebody let's try to raise the ghost of MVPs in Suns' lineup. Actually almost each of the other 8 teams owned us at some moment remember those past regular seasons when we are swept by Suns, Spurs, nearly swept by OKC Hornets and can not handle lakers in its down time... the only way to solve it is becoming stronger ourselves.
Man i've been saying this for a good week now. All those road games they have are against playoff opponents and with how their road record has been...they can drop out of the race...but PHX is going to have win their games also and they have shown on a nightly basis that that is a problem.
Shades of 94, when Denver took out #1 seed Seattle, leaving us, the #2 seed, to win the trophy! Woohoo
