[xbox]“Resident Evil 5” Demo Available Exclusively on Xbox LIVE Today

Sweet, I would buy it just for the console.

The demo was alright I guess, nothing too jaw dropping. I have it lined up on Gamefly, I'll give it a whirl.

 

I love RE1 and 2...but I just can't get into anymore. It moves too slow, the atmosphere wasn't too frightening, the camera angles are awkward. Graphics are nice though.

^ Yeah, the game play is exactly the same as RE4 -- slow moving enemies you just run past over and over and over...

That was acceptable/ fun on the PS2, but for next gen they should have upgraded the AI and speed of the zombies/ etc. I'm sure it will get much better, but it's not with 60 bucks IMO.

 

Yeah, I didn't know if it was a limited time type of thing, but now that I think about it...that doesn't make so much sense. I think the download is limited to Gold members from the 26th through 28th, and then on the 29th it's available to everyone. That seems more likely.

 

I loved RE4-it was such a great game, so I'm sure I'll enjoy this one.

 

Anyone picked this up yet -- thoughts ?

 

yes. i think it's amazing. coop is a lot of fun. a lot like RE4 (which is nothing short of amazing), with better graphics. it might be even harder considering swithing weapons is in real time...it doesnt pause the game (but that was in the demo too)

 

great game man! but imo, the style of play is like Devil may cry..

 

I never got a chance to play RE4. RE5 is an amazing game. I am playing solo and the AI of sheva can be frustrating sometimes. When I finish the game, I will probably play with someone else on a harder setting.
