I used to watch the Knicks back when Thomas was on the team. Ironically, back then he was known for his offense, but couldn't stay on the court because he was a fouling machine on defense.

That was the longest 0.3 seconds in NBA history.

Yeah, it doesn't get called. Yao could have taken care of the problem himself though. I guarantee Thomas wouldn't try half that garbage against Deke. He would get an elbow to the rib, after the first contact. An elbow to the head on the 2nd contact. A broken jaw on the 3rd contact. Yao is trying to be too respectful. He needs to throw some elbows around and foul him back. :D

Without AB's jumper we lose(no FTs for Scola).

In a game this close you cant pick out any play as a game winner. Unless its the actual game winner which Brooks to Yao to Scola was.

Great contributions all around. Wafer had the weakest game of all I think, but even he made some good penetrations. Can't find fault with anyone today.

why didn't scola just miss the last freethrow...
i was worried when bonner jacked up that shot in time...

    rockets won.. it's all good..
battier popped a 3 when spurs were leading by 6 with very lil time left.
he even out jumped duncan for jumpball.
then last min or two was intense. lead kept changing.

he tried, you could tell by his reaction, usually only really good free throw shooters can miss exactly how they want to

And as much as Artest messes up on offense, his picks are VERY underappreciated. I noticed in one of the highlight packages, i think versus minny, he set a crazy pick on a guy, moving pick, but solid enough for it's not going to be called. I think that's where Battier got free for the dunk.

Today, on the last shot by scola, Artest shields off Udoka i believe, so he couldn't rotate and pick up scola, Artest just manhandles guys and repositions them however he wants. We haven't had anyone like that in a very long time.

    Scola almost perfect.
Artest played a very good game even he occasionally lost control and made a couple of stupid tough shots.
Lowry was the key from bench. He shined both ends. I saw him fighing like hell to box out Tim Duncan at the last play which led to Scola a deciding defensive rebound.
Yao and Brooks both had a bad game but they did something special in the last minute.
I took the risk of heart attack to watch this game. No regret. Great game.

Great team win. The bench brought the Rockets back into the game. I like that Yao was able to get involved in the offense when San Antonio was fronting him by making great passes in the last minute of the game, and he also played good defense on Duncan during the last few possessions. Shane made to two huge plays to give the Rockets a shot at the win (three-pointer and winning tip against Duncan). I thought Aaron also did a good job in crunch time and did not make mistakes like he did the previous game. But Scola is definitely the player of the game.

Yao Ming made a couple very good passes and Scola finished them.
No FTs for YAo and Scola. That's unbelievable

Yeah, I agree. Battier was critical in this win, deserves a lot of credit. If his 3 didn't go in, it would have been an 8 point trail.

let's enjoy being #2 while it lasts, the spurs schedule could easily have them on a 5 or 6 game winning streak over the next week. And they should be getting Manu back during the that stretch. Hopefully we'll settle down at the third spot and face NO in the first round.

If TMac was ready to go and lead this team, the Rox would be fighting for the 8th seed.
