Ya but you will beat yourself.............. Im sorry, I really am.... I just ,, I just couldnt resist ...... again..... sorry.....
Kings 99-91, but The Lakers will still win in 6. Remember during the first Bulls championship run when they beat the Knicks three times in the playoffs. Guess what role the Kings are gonna play. This series is over.
What else can you blame it on? Every time the Kings make a run, the officials are right there to wipe it away. Seven point game in the 3rd, Kings basketball, Kings have the momentum. Webber drives inside, kicks it out to Bibby, who makes the shot... but offensive foul Webber. I personally thought Fisher was moving, but I could buy that call. Until... Eleven point game in the 4th, Kings trying to make a run. Vlade Divac is clearly outside the dotted line, and clearly isn't moving, and Horry drives right into him. Block, Horry makes both free throws. Nine point game in the 4th, Kings trying to make a run. Christie doesn't even touch Bryant... Kobe lands an elbow straight in the forehead. Defensive foul, apparently on the nose for getting in the way of Kobe's elbow. Five point game in the 4th, Kings really in momentum, Fisher misses a 3, Shaq throws two Kings out of the way, and Horry gets the slam. No foul, game over. Yeah, the Lakers made a lot of shots, and the Kings showed virtually no common sense on either end of the floor (constant slapping the wrist of Lakers as they got lay-ins, fouling Kobe with 1 second left on the shot clock in the final minute). But, it would be nice to know how this game turned out if the refs didn't stop every single Kings run.
Deja Voo all over again. The weirdest image just arose in my mind. Mike Bibby (50 seconds in the game) goes up for a layup with great effort, but is blocked by massively obese Shaq, reminds me of last years playoffs when Jason Williams did the same exact thign in a pressure packed game to try to get the game closer. There's no change. I was once a Kings fan when Jwill was there, Now I'm a Grizzlies fan. Kings are 2nd nature in my opinion. I have to root for them. I have 30 bucks on this series.
How the Kings managed to only lose by 7 is unbelievable to me. That may have been the most lopsided officiating I have ever seen in favor of the Lakers. I really can't remember being this shocked at how bad it was in any of the Lakers others playoff games in the last 3 years. I mean this was just out and out robbery. If you honestly found the officiating to be even, then I don't know what to say to you. I've come to expect a certain degree of star treatment for the Lakers but this was insane. On top of the plays Cat mentioned (with the exception of webber's charge which looked legit), there was Bibby getting an offensive foul on an obviously moving Fisher (not even close) and then bobby jackson doing the exact same thing to fisher but not getting the call. there was jackson looking like he saved a ball with the kings down by 6, but amazingly he was called out. Divac's 4th foul on a play with essentially no contact and if anything more contact made by O'neal than anything. I actually turned the game off for a while after the Horry blocking call cuz I figured what's the point if they are actually going to just steal the game from the Kings. I mean what do you do when you have about 8 offensive fouls on your team and then draw one and they pretend you were inside the line. And the final straw has to be christie getting elbowed in the face and getting a blocking foul. I'm really at a loss (outside of out and out being on the lakers side) as to how bavetta could've made that call when he was standing right there. and the announcers keep saying look how poised the lakers are and never argue and the kings just need to forget and play on. well maybe there's a reason for these things. maybe the lakers are so poised b/c they never have breaks go against them and it's hard to forget that you will be called for a foul if you let yourself get elbowed. and before someone brings up the FT numbers (which i don't know right now), almost every call being discussed did not involve free throws and they are all the calls the lakers always get. you can almost stomach it when you know the lakers are the better team, but that is not clear cut in this series. i would even go so far as to say the Kings are better. if the officiating is even close to fair the rest of the way, the Kings have a shot.
What do you mean by that there was no change? Mike Bibby is way more better and stable than Jason Williams ever was. If the Kings had Jason Williams in there in the fourth quarter, their runs might have not even been possible.
I forgot to add, did Turkoglu play the worst game in the history of professional sports tonight? really, i'm trying to think of someone who so totally and completely did everything wrong mentally and physically. he dropped an ez board and let shaq have it for a 3 point play. he hesitated when he was open but shot instantly with people on him. he dropped another board and mistimed a jump that let horry hit it and hedo proceeded to then slap it out. he kept trying to drive and take tough floaters, missing every single one, even missed the rim on one. screwed up a few more times i can't remember. i mean, he would get the ball and i would think what is the worst possible thing he could do right now and he would do it. really unbelievable. and another reason it was shocking the kings even kept the game close. i mean he was practically playing for the lakers.
He is better. I'm not saying he isn't. It just seemed weird that The Kings are having the same troubles that they had in the 4th this year, as they did in years past against the lakers in the playoffs, and to see the Kings PG whether its Jason or Mike, try really hard to make plays down the stretch, and to see the blocked shots by SHAQ go 5-6 rows back, is just a funny feeling. Jason and Mike have different talents. Jason helped his team for three years and was finished with that franchise,Sacramento,. And well, he's in the same boat now that Mike was in, for three years. Same point production but the roles are ,a total 360. i don't like Bibby personally but He really should be a better player. He wassss the 3rd overall pick while jason was like 6 picks after.
I'm not trying to put bibby down or nothing. All I was saying was, its just Funny how the kings are still struggling at the end of games against the LAKERS in the playoffs. THe kings were only down 5 last year, when Jason drove in for a layup. The kings tonight were down 6, i think and the same results occurred regardless of the PG's at the realm. Also, That last call wasn't a foul. Do i sense jealously of the Kings losing? I used to be the same way, But ive changed my ways. No whistle= no foul
