Quite a few games going on tonight other than the Rockets. Mavs at Pacers - It's almost the half now, but I like Indinapolis in this one. They've got Granger back and they've taken down a lot of good teams at home this year. Grizz at Hornets - The Hornets should win this one, but they've been playing poorly lately and nearly blew a home game against the Wolves the other day. An upset wouldn't shock me. Jazz at Thieves - The Thieves are bad but improved, and the Jazz are just plain bad on the road. The Jazz should win this game, but this is another where an upset wouldn't shock me. Celtics at Spurs - KG should be back, but the Celtics are nicked up. Still Boston has played well enough to where they should give the Spurs a handful. If KG is spry, he could give the gimpy Duncan a run for his money. I'm taking the Celtics. Wizards at Nuggets - Enver plays no defense, but Washington doesn't play pro ball. The Nuggets win this game.
On a side note, the Kings are about to beat the Knicks, which will be the first and only time they win against an Eastern conference team this season. They are 0-28 against the East.
Just when you think you've seen it all, the Spurs miss 6 straight FTs in the final 90 seconds and lose to the Celts. Pin the tail on TP (0-4) and Finley (0-2). It's been years since TP missed clutch FTs like that. Then Big Baby closes the sale with the jumper.
If Finley went straight up and down on that 3, he may have been able to draw a little contact. I doubt the refs would have called it but he moved out of Big Baby's way.
Plus Finley misses two freebies before Parker's misses. You know if they were playing the Rockets both guys would hit all their freebies.
San Antonio -3 points. And yep...Next game is for the division. It's going to be tough withou Landry on the road though just splitting these next two games would be excellent.
