Spurs have much harder sch. from the looks of things. Rockets need to make this run. And secure these top seeds in the west! But i really think we can win the SW. WAt do yall think?!?!
Rockets: -13 games remaining -6 at home -9 against teams above .500 -5 of 7 remaining road games against teams above .500 Spurs: -15 games remaining -8 at home -8 against teams above .500 -3 of 7 remaining road games against teams above .500 We could pull it off but it won't be because of having an easier schedule. It will be despite a tougher schedule.
I saw the same thing, I was wondering what he was talking about. Glad you put up the numbers exactly, but Rockets have one of the hardest season ending schedules in the NBA this year.
The Spurs do have to play 2 more games during that stretch but I don't think that compensates for the greater number of tough road games we have left. I still think it can be done but it'll take some stellar play, including a win in SA. Landry being unavailable will make it that much harder. And isn't Manu coming back soon?
GIVE US THE 2,3, OR 7, AND LET THE LAKERS TAKE THE 1, AND JAZZ HAVE THE 4 OR 5. THAT IS THE SITUATION WE WANT.
<table border="1" cellspacing="0"><tr><td> SPURS vs Bos vs Hou vs GS at Atl vs LAC at NO vs OKC at Ind at Cle at OKC vs Por vs Uta at Sac at GS vs NO nonenone </td> <td> ROCKETS vs Det vs Min at SA at Uta vs LAC at Pho at LAL vs Por vs Orl at Sac at GS vs NO at Dal none nonenone </td> </tr> </table>
i dont really care which seed, as long as we get home court advantage and we avoid jazz in the first round
I think we would of had to defeat SA last game in order to catch them. I just don't see it happening, but you never know.
I don't see us takign out 2nd seed because the Spurs have been great, even without Duncan. Yes, we've played with so many injuries too, but Yao is pretty much back, and TMac will be a no show. When Duncan comes back, Spurs will be beast. I Don't care, I am hapy with the Rox @ third seed. Just avoid the Jazz and we'll be fine.
my ideal palyoff match-ups: 1 lakers (for sure now) 2 spurs (almost for sure now) 3 rox (quite possible if we do good) 4 blazers (need luck) 5 nuggets (if they play not good, not bad) 6 hornets (a little underperformance needed) 7 mavricks (only need the jazz to suck) 8 jazz (after all they have the toughest schedule left, lots of road games and 5 b2b still there!) why this is ideal? a. jazz could upset lakers to some degree. and these 2 are worst for rox. and we wouldn't meet any of them before round 3 b. spurs and mavs both could be unpleasant to rox, let them fight first. more, spurs are not overwhelming against mavs, at all. c. hornets is rox's biggest chance for round 1 d. if blazers and lakers both win round 1, lakers would be in ROSE GARDEN in this matchup, rox have a decent chance to win round 1, after that, have a half chance to win round 2, after that, have a 20% chance to win West!
I don't think Hornets are our ideal matchup. CP3 can wreck havok in a 7 game series against us. We're much better off playing the Blazers/Mavs and Nuggets as a distant 3rd choice. I doubt Jazz will let themselves fall down to 8 if anything I see them moving up a seed or two.
dude.. Rox have the hardest remaining schedule out of any team.. but yeah would be sweet if we win the SW division.. that will definitely prepare them for the playoffs
Lets talk when we have a playoff spot secured. Lets not be over-confident. Throughout the season, we have lost to teams we werent suppose to lose to. We missed our big chance when we played a depleted Spurs team twice, more frustrating was the earlier loss with Parker and Ginobli out. I hope they do win the division but lets just take one game at a time. Lets start by winning both of our next home games. And then move on from there to beat Spurs and Lakers at their place. Fingers crossed....
