Where was the great kobe defender?

 

It looks like he was guarding Andre Miller.

It's Ariza who has the 3 shot over his lazy defence.

However, the fact that the Lakers put Ariza on Iggy for that last possession means 1 of 2 things - either they expected Miller to take the final shot (hmm) OR they consider Ariza to be the superior defender (yes).

I agree with ya leebigez! Kobe aint the defender everyone makes him out to be (although I'm sure he would've done a better job there...)

 

Kobe is a good defender no doubt. But he is soooooooooooooo overrated on defense its not funny. People riding his jock act like he can just shut anyone down anytime. He is no where close to Artest, Prince, Bowen, Battier or Posey.

 

i dont know about bowen since he defends illegaly by harrasing and get away with pushing and slapping.

 

Not taking anything away from a good shot but the Lakers actually had a foul to give, had they used it, they might not be looking back thinking only if in regards to homecourt for the Finals if we can't beat them in WCF. I know, a bit optimistic but we'll see.
