Depending on how serious, these guys or KIDS, are I had a friend that was robbed at a pickup basketball game by some punks with a gun, they stole his car and his wallet. Ended up finding his car with all the parts missing, luckily the kids were stupid and paid their phone bills with his card - Which is even worse because they didnt check I.D., but anyway, it could be something as small as that.

It is very much possible, there is a huge difference between killing someone and wounding someone in the legs.

Man, those Houston Hornets fans are violent! ( Seriously, why would anyone drive around downtown at 4:30 in the morning? That's pushing for trouble )

If you could understand the magnitude of your comments you would probably recant them. More importantly it's not the race of people but the class of people who shot him, they come in all races!!

What?!? No, you can thank whoever's momma raised some punk thug who thinks it alright to fire a gun at someone. No matter what the gun laws in this country are, as long as guns exist criminals who do not abide by those laws will have them. That's the kind of person who shot Carl Landry. This wasn't the fault of politicians.

its not an elite houston neighborhood. houston has lots of bad neighborhoods like 3rd ward or areas by downtown where i think landry was at.

I know it's near Toyota Center and one poster even said Landry lives in the area, but Palmer and Leeland is not the ideal place for a millionaire to stop for fast food in the middle of the night.

What a season for Rox...I hope this is the end of all dramas....

Carl might be just not lucky. But anyway, players, behave yourselves and be safe, we fans can take no more crap like this.

Do you think a criminal is going to stake out and rob someone in a poor neighborhood? Think about it.

Dang I just got online today. Unbelievable.

Basketball business aside, thank goodness Carl survived. What a freak scenario.

If a gun is involved I would be thankful if I lived through it, shooting or not.
