I read an interview with Clutch's wife last year and they are friends with Turbo. Turbo quit because of wear and tear on his body.

Yeah I watched Turbo, and I thought his trampoline dunking stuff was gimmicky, the RPDs do that and I prefer them doing it then some guy in tights. He overvalued himself also, tried to ask for too much money at one point. And I always laughed when he did that dork pose to the crowd like the one pictured in the first post.

At least Clutch the bear is funny at times. IMO

Clutch is a big, fuzzy, family-oriented bear. He's building a legion of future Rockets fans.

Is Clutch and Turbo one person? Or do they switch off with other people?

Good idea. We should find a replacement Turbo and have him and Clutch run around the TC causing mayhem. Maybe that would get the crowd into the games a bit more. Or maybe not...

I actually worked with one of the many people that played turbo. There wasn't just one guy. It was an entire team of guys that trained together. He was fired at one point because of an issue with a union member. The rockets then soon brought him back. Now the team owns the rights to the Turbo character. The guy I worked with said the team retired shortly after due to disagreements with management and the wear and tear on their bodies. Occasionally these guys will suit up for shows in various places but not nearly as often as they used to.
