I can't believe so many guys putting Scola on the top 10 NBA PF list. I like Scola, but I don't think he deserve to be in the top 10 list now.
How is David West not on that list? He's clearly better than Randolph. Randolph is a cancer who just pads his stats on garbage teams. Also, Boozer is clearly ahead of Bosh. Just listing my opinions out there. I am not sure about Brand either, He's like the T-Mac of big men.
believe it or not, troy murphy would break my top 10 this calender year. the guy's a beast.....although it is for a bad team. if he can do this for a full 82 games, he'll EASILY be top 10
I think Antawn Jamison is probably better than David West....he has the soft touch around the basket and can create his shoot better than David West
That's probably the best list so far. Though I'd knock Brand down to 8 or 9 I think and slide everyone up until he proves he is healthy after these last couple of seasons combined (along with the poor job he did in Philly when healthy, though he was just coming off an injury and was just trying to fit in on a new team.. but still, he doesn't seem like the same kid that we saw in his first year on the Clips)
David West plays more like a true power forward while Jamison plays more like a SF in a PF's body. But David West also has a nice touch around the basket, and he is a much better finisher. Both are only average defenders and rebounders though, neither of them are special at that area.
Agree that Jamison plays like a SF in a PF's body.. EXCEPt he still has a knack for rebounding very well--much better than a SF (not elite or anything, but solid for a PF). So he's not really playing a SF's game in that he's still doing what he needs to do...just going about it differently. Disagree on the finisher. Jamison finishes incredibly well around the hoop with his weird shots. Maybe not a dunker, but a finisher? Definitely
Not if you consider Duncan, Jefferson, and Gasol to be Centers. All three have spent the majority of this season playing center. Brand hasn't been healthy, and when he has played this year, he hasn't really been any better than Scola.
Even excluding Duncan, Jefferson, and Gasol from the conversation, Scola still is a sketchy choice for top 10. All these guys have a pretty good case to be ahead of him. Kevin Love is pretty good too. kevin garnett dirk nowitzki chris bosh amare stoudamire david west carlos boozer josh smith lamarcus aldridge paul milsap lamar odom troy murphy antawn jamison david lee
He doesn't count this year. He didn't give the Sixers anything, and he's missed most of the season. Actually, he's missed most of the last two seasons (only played in 36 out of 164 games ... not good). He's got A LOT to prove next year.
