Yeah, but unlike Kobe, Chris Paul is more like the Dwayne Wade of his team. It lives and dies on the majority of his hard work and skills both offensively and defensively. CP3 can score his points, but as long as we make sure Yao is having a double double night and our usual scorers outside of Brooks all get good looks for hopefully double digits, we can win this.

Although the fact is, the Rockets have to know, defense is going to be the major key here. If Shane is going to get 30 minutes of on court time, he should be making sure that either Peja or West are not going off most of that time and Ron shouldn't forget his strengths trying to be something else.

Unless Brooks can break Paul's ankles early in the game, I don't see him "stopping" Paul. But if he can keep Paul off balance and not making any mistakes while making Paul try to keep up to his speed, Brooks has a better chance then most are giving him.

Hornets will win big. They will be looking to rebound in a huge way from that ugly Bulls loss on Saturday. Peja should be returning and they play extremely well at home.

huh? No, DO YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE NBA? Any team can beat any team on any given night. FYI, HORNETS JUST LOST TO THE BULLS, so why can't be beat them? We lost to pathetic teams in our home court in the past too. It CAN happen if you know anything about the NBA.

Rox playing solid ball lately, pretty consistent. No shame in losing to the lakers and spurs. I expect a close win or loss tonight - within five points either way. But because I'm a fan and want to see my team win - 89 to 85 Rox.

Hornets win if you ask me, especially if Yao goes out. Unless Yao could pull off a Michael Jordan in the regular season.

Let me to make a statement:
If yao scores 25 or more, we will win for sure. ;)
If yao scores 20 or more, I think that we will still win the game. :)
If yao scores below 15, we will lose for sure.
If yao scores between 15 and 19, it will be a close game.
If we have a good execution on the cluch, we will win :) ; otherwise we will lose  (No luck for us in this game if we have a bad execution on the cluch time  ).

Yao may not play!? Big problem. Artest will take thirty shots! And make five. :(

If Mutombo plays.. at least our defense and rebounding will be better than Yao.. I don't know how great we will be without him offensively since we haven't seen it yet. If there is balanced scoring and great defense, it can be pulled off. Mutombo is still a better defender and rebounder than Yao, which is sad.

This is a big game. The Rockets need to win some key games down the strectch, especially against a division rival.

David West must be held in check in order for us to win. Chris Paul will get his points and assists but if you limit the other weapons they have, mostly West, we have a great chance to win. Yao should be able to get whatever he wants down low against whoever they put on him. Rockets should win. 102-94. :) :)

    Just let Chris Paul score.

He doesn't hurt you much scoring shooting jumpshots.

Take away his shooters and close out in the paint and the Hornets are dead.

I agree with you except for the last part. Mutombo is actually still a better rebounder and shot blocker than most centers in the NBA. If Chuck Hayes starts and sees significant mins, this game is over.
