3/15/09 -- Thread Portland @ Atlanta - Atlanta is hot, winners of 4 straight plus they have a great home record.. I don't think Portland will be able to win this one.. Go Hawks Dallas @ Los Angeles (Lakers) - I expect LA to take this.. they are at home, they are really good, and they have won 2 straight. Go Lakers! Utah @ Orlando - I could see Orlando slipping this, but they are at home and home court has been such a big factor in the NBA this season, so I hope they will win and the Jazz can lose another game. Go Magic!
If the Blazers bring their "A" game, they will beat the Hawks. Since that won't happen, I expect the Hawks to win. I don't know if I'll watch any of the Mavs/Lakers. Blech! But sometimes it's fun watching the Mavs get kicked. My hunch is Utah will beat Orlando. The headline will read: D-Will destroys the Magic.
The Lakers will beat the Mavs. They're just too talented, and LA looks like they're locked in for the final push. Magic will beat the Jazz. The Jazz have dropped 2 straight road games to the Hawks and Heat, and they have to be tired coming off that triple overtime loss. The Hawks have their mojo back and have been taking care of Western Conference Playoff contenders at home. They just took down the Jazz, and I think they'll repeat with a victory over the Blazers. I also think the Warriors will beat the Suns. Golden State has better athletes to run Seven Seconds or Less, and I think they'll run the Suns off the court.
Atlanta should take the game, because they are at home. Blazers are average at best on the road. Lakers win, it shouldn't even matter They will never lose that 1st seed spot Magic SHOULD win, since the Jazz came off a triple OT last night. I expect the Magic to win. I could careless who wins because I hate the Magic. I love Rafer though.
I bet Atlanta would win the game and sink the Blazers at Rose Garden Arena. Mavericks and Lakers, actually I couldn't careless who wins this one because whether the Lakers pulls it out or not,it has zero impact on us considering we're 10 games back.Well, given that how much I hate both team,I would root for the Mavs due to the fact that it's another team from Texas. Well well well,I don't hate the Magic, but Utah Jazzholes is in my blacklist and I won't wipe its name off til the day I die.Maybe late tonight we're gon see a article title Skip leads the Magic a win over Jazz despite D-Will's triple double.
Go Hawks Go Magic Can't root for Fakers since Ponies losing can potentially benefit us if we implode somehow. Rooting for Ponies is useless because the Fakers already locked up/bought the first seed.
zero impact?? Mavs are seperated from us by just 2 games, we want the highest seed possible for home court. like you said no way we can get 1 seed so you want ALL teams besides the Lakers to LOSE. right???
Mavericks losing really helps the Rockets, but for some reason I really hate the Lakers. Probably jealous they are so good. No doubt, Lakers will win.
Mark Jackson just said that Kobe, Shaq, Duncan, LeBron, and Wade will go down as top 15 players of all time. And JVG seemed to concur. What do you think?
I don't agree with Wade. LeBron maybe. Those other 3 are absolutely correct though. Wade might have a better chance than LeBron.
Well, to make that list you need championship(s), MVP(s), multiple All-Star, and All-NBA selections. And to do it in the modern era when there aren't what, 8 teams in the entire league....I think it's a very defensible statement. As much as I admire the past legends like Wilt and Russell, it's so unfair to compare an era where the League had 8 teams total to the modern era. So...I'll say while it's not the perfect statement, the best players of the last 20 years have to stand out, and can't be below or above the top players the 40 years prior.
That's a very bold statement. If Wade and LeBron are healthy the rest of their careers and have great team success, maybe so. It's too early. I have no problem with putting Kobe, Shaq and Duncan up that high.
i agree completely. kobe, shaq, and duncan are already top 15 players of all time from what they have accomplished. lebron is on his way. dude will break almost every statistical record there is and he's bound to win multiple championships. wade is a little iffy. i don't see him playing this style of game for so long b/c he plays so physical/going to the basket so much. but if he can put together 5 more years like this and win another ring, then yes. but wade's the only one that is tough to put up there. but i liked what JVG just said though. i hate when teams say we should have won this.. that. teams like dallas, utah, or even us, are not really contenders but above most of the pack. when we lose to teams that we shouldn't lose to (just like utah or dallas), it's b/c we're not good enough. and JVG said it perfectly right. only the great teams are consistent.
alright i'v recovered from spurs loss. so Por loss. So this basically puts us where we were at before our loss, so it's good it seems no one has gained no ground on us just like when we loss to the Lakers lol so this tough schedule has not hurt us...yet Lakers should win this, Thank you Kobe. Lets hope Kobe just tears through these other opponents as much as he can. I'll be watching UTA. If they win they should be in a virtual tie with us again and i'm not liking that at all being tied with Utah yuck. So cmon Dwight, I still got Yao as best Center in the NBA. Prove me wrong Dwight.
