brooks has very low Basketball IQ..no court vision....he shoudl come off the bench...lowry should start if we want to make it past the first round....18 pts 0 assists is inexcusable for a starting NBA guard...i'm tired of his decision with the ball...and he can't throw an entry pass to save his LIFE.....

brooks' defense is HORRIBLE....he was consisitenty 2 or 3 steps behind parker...battier and artest were leaving Finley to help out on parker..that is pathetic...Brooks i'm sorry to say is not an NBA starting PG...he needs to come off the bench....

BATTIER WHERE THE HE$$ did your game go...this guy is turning into Chuck Hayes part II.....

“I saw I was one-on-one with Tim Duncan,” Brooks said. He was at the free throw line, so I thought I could get past him. I could have got a foul on that play. I thought for sure they were going to call a foul. They didn’t, but it’s the fourth quarter and I guess they’re not going to make those calls.

“It’s my fault. I missed my read. Ron was open. I guess I just tripped and fell on my own.”

    Case closed.

Ron also has this tendency to do it all on his own

I thought the team showed grit and heart at the end of the game, it's too bad Brooks panicked and forced up a dumb layup. Should've passed it to Yao who was rolling to the basket.

When Yao had the putback dunk and secured the rebound, I thought the team would for sure go to Yao on the other end. It's only fair the guy who gets us back into the game gets the opportunity to win the game. Yao definitely wanted to win this game for the team. Instead Brooks forces up a very bad layup.

However Brooks also made some good plays, (such as the layup before Yao's putback dunk), so I'm not ready to denounce him yet. However, if AB can't maintain his composure and remain calm in situations like tonight, and continues to force up bad layups, the Rockets won't go very far in the playoffs unless Adelman gives the crunch time minutes to Lowry, who IMO is a lot more composed on the court, and thinks before he acts.

Overall, I'm slightly disappointed at the loss, did not like how Aaron Brooks handled the situation when the Rockets had the chance to take the lead, but thought the Rockets showed some tenacity and grit to keep the game interesting up til that point.

man they should have ran a play for Yao to shoot that last 3; that would have been crazy if it went in to force overtime  . then maybe we could see Yao do his version of Wade :D .

    Yetti Observations of the Game

    a) The Rockets were sluggish to say the least after so many games so close together.
    b) Coach Adelman needs to be told by someone in authority that he must
act to correct repeated mistakes that his team is making.
1] A. Brooks is a shooting Guard, [Not a Point Guard]who is under the dilusion that he has a free hand to play as though he was mini MJ.
2] Ron Artest has the same difficulties as Tracy McGrady, both try to be playmakers but their first objective is to set themselves up, as both have grown older ,they both keep trying to make low percentage shots, of which they are now less able to make. This shows that they need to be reigned in and instructed to play as a role players with a catch and shoot/pass to the open man mentality. They need to leave all the playmaking to the Point Guard and Yao Ming.
If they can't adapt to the new way of things then we should get others who can.
3] Von Wafer, when he is on. he should get playing time, especially when we are in need of points.
4] When players are having a rough time of it on the court like Landry tonight the coach should make quick upgrades on the court.
    c) Coach A needs to go on a long refresher course this offseason.
d] Yao Ming must be involved more in the game :p

I notice one particular play during the JVG era that seems to be money for Yao.Its the play where the point guard and Yao fakes the post on the sides then Yao suddenly moves to the middle (beneath or closes to the rim). Rafer swings the ball in the middle usuall Mcgrady then makes that pass to Yao.

With this play it makes the defender on Yao move as oppose to just waiting for him. Wonder why Rick A. doesn't use that :( . its either a foul or a made field goal. ;)
