i remember the 1st time we played in SA, brooks drive at the end and blocked by Duncan where Yao was open for a dunk... yet brooks doesn't learn...
The Rockets showed resilience tonight...too bad Ron's open three pointer didn't go in at the end. We had a chance to win this game...that's all you can ask against an elite team under the circumstances (5 games in 7 nights; back-to-back travelling across the country).
I say Von Wafer. He's proven it to us in both the laker games and Boston, he can shoot under pressure. Artest miraculously did it against Charlotte, the rest is all blue sky.
It is a OK loss considering we are fighting Spurs. The lesson is that no final cluth in this team. NO artest and NO AB. And RA really sucked for the last two attacks. He might have a good strategy, but is not good at showing it on court.
Wake up , Grady is not coming back this season, so he does not count, Odom and Nobli will and have come back , so your reasoning is useless
I predicted a lot of game winners from Von this season, but RA has made sure of preventing that by not giving him any mins in crunch time. I really want him out there instead of Ron, Ron will just jack up shots, he already admitted to saying he wants to shoot the game winners regardless of the situation.
tough tough loss...the spurs are the elite team for a reason. The rockets were the one who had to prove something tonight, and they know they are not in the elite class yet. Brooks really needs to learn to control his game, use his speed when it benefits the team and not just run around in one speed. He seems so hesitant to pass the ball and even shoot at times. Everyone on here is asking brooks to defend parker, an allstar point guard. There are only a handful of people in the league that can defend parker, so the whining about defense is almost a none argument. As for the team as a whole, they still have a lot to work on. They don't have a go-to guy in clutch situations. They also need to make their freakin free-throws. Artest really needs to quit dribblin the ball till the clock winds down.
Brooks could've given the ball to Yao and had a better chance of making it than a driving layup against the best PF in the game when you 6'0
Ron isn't clutch...what about last night? He just missed it. It's funny because when Kobe came to Houston earlier h ehit that shot over Battier to win the game...then the next night...missed the exact same shot...It just happens. It's not like Ron airballed it, it was dead on off the front of the rim.
I saw it, but I think Ron Artest actually made a heads up play. Tony Parker fought through the screen by Yao easily and was in AB's face before Artest cut back and brought over Udoka. Artest actually got open but AB didn't see him unfortunately.
It is a tough unlucky loss, but the positive thing is we should reconsider the coach and PG issue. Actually in the game vs Sun, we should not have relied on AB in the clutch time. We were lucky enough to win that game. The clutch score only built AB's overconfidence and our overexpectation. Well, I am not to blame AB, and hope he can be eligible as a commander and bring more to Rockets. But I don't see that happens atm, and we still should give him more bench mins and try to start Lowry. Furthermore, if we still witness AB's unlimited shots and poor execution, RA is the only one to be blamed...
Yall are saying that Spurs don't even have Ginobli and that we could have won Ginobli is not T-Mac or Kobe We don't have T-Mac which could have been an automatic win for the rockets! Come on guys and stop saying stupid stuff and appreciate what you have. Rockets only lost by 3's and we are learning without our 20 million dollar superstar.
Agree! I never seen him make any good decision after a timeout. It seemed that we seldom make any shot or stop other team after our timeout, especially at the end of the game. Almost never work.
