Is this really what we want from our starting PG?

Adelman rewards boneheaded behavoir. As long as he continues to play bad, I don't think he'll ever start Lowry. All we can hope for is that Brooks starts to play well or Lowry starts to play bad.

This isn't a hate thread. This wasn't even a rhetorical question. If you're OK with our starting PG taking 18 shots with 0 assists, state your case. There could be legit arguments that it's fine. Lets hear them now.

Adelman spoiled him. That's not AB's fault.
    AB is a SG.

Lowry has much, much better court vision than AB.

umm, he's a scoring PG, did you not realize that over the last two years? That's why Lowry was brought in, to give a different look. We dont have any pure passing points, but Lowry can dish, Brooks has always been a scorer, so unless you can think of specific plays where he refused to pass when someone had a better shot, then this is pointless. And scenarios where he drove or shot instead of passing don't count unless he was taking a btter shot opportunity away from someone else.

AB is not a PG. let him go to the bench and be the energizer bunny.

The Rockets don't need Aaron Brooks to be a high assist guy. He's at his best when he's aggressive and he's looking for his shot.

Unfortunately in today's NBA, the game is much easier for perimeter players that have the balls in their hands than it is for traditional post players. The rules favor them.
