what do u guys think is the most stacked draft ever. i personally thinkits 98 when it went kandi, bibby, lafrentz, jamison, carter, traylor, jwill, larry hughes, nowitzki, and peirce as the top 10. cat was also part of that draft. this year is pretty stacked 2

Taylor is and/or should be history; Cato put up equal numbers to Olajuwon this year. So much for long good-byes. With some work on offense in the off season and some encouragement from a personal trainer....he could edge toward double doubles next season. We should keep Thomas unless he goes with a # 15 pick for trade. Cut the fat and age, kindle youth, desire, and fire. Draft form abroad. Lean toward big, tall guys. Keep the core, rasie the scores.

The draft of 1999 produced some of the best young guards: Steve Francis, Baron Davis, and Andre Miller. These guys are future superstars.

if we're talking modern drafts (<5 years), i agree with Rocketblast; that draft also had brand at #1 and odom at #4. That is one hell of a group of players taken 1 to 5.

Marion... I would love to get him, would trade the #1 pick for him.

99 draft has been the best in the last 3 years. Francis, Brand, Davis, Odom, Wally, Marion, Terry, KT, etc.

BTW, some guy on this forum said he had a friend who happened to be a scout that said "KT will be better than Fizer." Congrats, he was right.

I don't know how far back you want to go, but in the last 20 years:
    1. 1984 - (better talent)Dream/Bowie/Jordan/Perkins/Barkley/Robertson/Willis/Thorpe/Stockton
    2. 1998 - (deepest) Olowokandi/Bibby/LaFrentz/Jamison/Carter/Williams/Hughes/Nowitski/Pierce/Wells/Doleac/Clark/Dickerson/Harpring/Harrington/Mohammed/Lewis/Mobely
    3. 2001 - Brown/Chandler/Gasol/Curry/Richardson/Battier/Griffin/Johnson/Jefferson/Tinsley/Parker (could turn into way more... too early to tell.)
    4. 1999 - Brand/Francis/Davis/Odom/Bender/Szczerbiak/Hamilton/Miller/Marion/Terry/Maggette/Artest/Thomas/Kirilenko/Nailon/MacCulloch
    5. 1985 - Ewing/McDaniel/Mullin/Schrempf/Oakley/Malone/Dumars/Green/Porter
      [/list=1]

This year's draft could be the deepest in the last 20 years, but I don't think the top talent will be as good as the draft in '84 with Jordan, Dream, Barkley, and Stockton.

1996 - Allen Iverson, Marcus Camby, Shareef Abdur-Rahim, Stephon Marbury, Ray Allen, Antoine Walker, Lo Wright, Kerry Kittles, Kobe Bryant, Predrag Stojakovic, Steve Nash, Jermaine O'Neal

Also included: Jerome Williams, Derek Fisher, Zydrunas Illgauskas (would've been good but injuries slowed him down), Walter McCarty, John Wallace, Tony Delk, Erick Dampier, Samaki Walker, Othella Harrington. Moochie Norris, Jeff McInnis, Malik Rose, Shandon Anderson

    How about 1994?

Glenn Robinson, Jason Kidd, Grant Hill, Donyel Marshal, Juwan Howard, Lamond Murray, Bryan Grant, Eddie Jones, Jalen Rose, Wesley Person. Not really a lot of "star" players, but tons of role/solid bench player type players.

A bunch of role players that get paid like champions....Jones, Howard, and Grant are all way overpaid.

Anyways, I think that there are too many question marks in this draft, and there will be plenty of busts. Here's a few of the them:

    Ming
    Borchardt
    Dunleavy
    Woods
    Stoudamire
    Marcus
    Tsktishvilli
