3/14/09 -- Saturday's Games Utah @ Miami -- I really think Miami has a chance against Utah because Miami has been playing really well and they are also at home.. Hopefully Miami can win. Go Heat!! New Orleans @ Chicago -- A second of a back-to-back for New Orleans going into the United Center where the Bulls are 19-11 so far this season.. The Bulls seem to play well and the Bulls are also on a second of a back-to-back.. I think Chicago has a chance, but they have to play hard like they have lately. Derrick Rose vs. Chris Paul will be amazing to watch. Go Bulls! Denver @ Los Angeles (Clippers) -- Well.. this is pretty much a given for Denver to win this.. but it's one those games that could very well be an upset if the Nuggets take them likely.. Go Clippers! Oklahoma City @ Phoenix -- Well I don't think the Suns are much of a problem for many playoff teams in the West and also on a 6 game losing streak.. I expect them to beat Oklahoma City.. I guess we keep rooting against the Suns so we can clinch the playoffs faster.. but I do feel sorry for the Suns.. Go Suns & Thunder! lol Hopefully tonight some of these teams can lose.. last night wasn't so good.. Portland coming back on New Jersey and Milwaukee staying the game against New Orleans but then New Orleans eventually pulling away..
Suns are not relevant if you ask me, they have no shot at making the playoffs. I'm sure the entire Suns team feels that way too Anyways, Heat should win I think they will, Bulls too. Clippers and Nuggets are a toss up.
Like I said.. I'm including them for the "clinch factor".. the more games the lose and the faster they lose them... the more our spot is guaranteed.
Really hoping Miami will win. Wade should get a lot of calls at home against the Jazz so hopefully they can get us some seperation. Chicago could win this one, at home. They usually lose 2 games and win the third one no matter who it is against. They've beat better teams than the Hornets. Clippers have no shot against the Nuggets. Hope i'm wrong but shouldn't expect the Nugs to lose that one. And PHX doesn't matter. But the most, Utah and the Hornets. They are right behind us, hoping for some separation.
I'd forget the "clinch factor". The Suns are done and it's irrelevant how fast the Rockets clinch a spot. Phoenix has 7 more losses and has lost the season series. There is no way they make up 8 games over the last 19 games of the season. The real race is to the 7th spot and avoiding the Lakers in the 1st round. 3 losses separate 6 teams. This is the issue to follow on a daily basis.
I LOVE suns in the D'antoni era, right next to rox. but now I hope them lose every game rest of the season. the more they lose, the more rebuild-and-sell-out inevitable. a Sun's sell-out could be Morey's scavenger feast.
Luther just bungled an alley oop pass. It was fugly. He redeemed himself by making a three on the same possession, though. Wish he could have done that for us against the j*zz.
I didn't realized the Jazz-Heat game started this early. I'm still going with Miami in this game. I think the Hornets are playing great ball, but they like letting bad teams play them close. The Bulls take this one. Phoenix is going to drop a few games to scrub teams, but not tonight. The Suns have a 6 game losing streak to exorcise, and the Thieves are going to be the sacrificial lamb. This will be a blowout. Clippers have actually built leads against quality teams lately, and I think Marcus Camby will be inspired to take down his old team. I like the Clippers in the upset. If the Rockets can take care of business, this could be a stellar night for us.
i love the optimism! i think the rockets can take care of business, but i dont think they'll get much help from the other teams playing. the heat may be the best chance for some help today.
We'll see. I had this day circled on the calendar as a possible Magic Number dropping bonanza. Hopefully it'll shake out in our favor.
Anytime the Nuggets lose is a great day for me. I think the Clippers will give them a handful. Zach Randolph and B-Diddy will come to play...they have nothing to play for except to ruin other teams' chances.
The refs just gave a Heat guy a tech for not doing anything. Okut bumped him hard and the guy touched him and it's a tech on him ? Blatant cheating by the refs and the Heat are blowing this game
