i don't think yao is the king of clutch or the most un-clutch player. he's neither. he's generally fairly good in that area of bball.

what i sometimes have a problem with is that too many fans take yao for granted (probably because he's a humble person and never complains and whines). i've yet to see a "yao appreciation" thread, while numerous "yao sucks" threads would emerge after yao has a bad game or even a so-so game.

i guess it's all about expectations.

the bobcats suck, their head coach is the only thing that makes them a legit team some games. we should of won by 10 points or more.

Uh no, they are actually pretty good. They won 6 of their last 7 games, and that's because they had a 6 game winning streak before playing the Spurs.

They have a chance to make the 8th seed in the East.

Actually the bucket to get us to 87 points was technically the game winner, since we were behind 86-85. The three by Yao was no bigger than the three by Battier.

Oh, and Duncan's shot actually WAS a game winner.

Uh no, Duncan's shot was to send that game to overtime. The game winner was what Manu did in the end. He drove to the basket and hit an easy bankshot against the Soft Suns defense.

Did you even watch that series?

Awesome shot, but Yao so far is not clutch.

The reaction of Bill was great, the only thing better was the reaction of the fans... half went WOW the other half went F***!

Yeah I did, but had forgotten the Spurs were down 3. OK, that shot wasnt a game winner, but it was a final shot of a quarter. Yao's was with a couple minutes to go and is no more or less important than the shots that came before it or after it for that matter.

Remember that first game against Shaq?

Yao is so clutch its sick......schooling a HOF player like that with smart fundamental play when every other players trying to get in Stephen A. Smiths pants.

Yao just has to be consistent at the end of games taking over bottom line. Usually at the end of games Yao is not heard from.

Every player on the team has to be clutch and consistent NOT just Yao.......thats why this topic is weak.......if Yao is so lame why do we expect more from him than the other guys? Because he 7'6?.....so was Manute Bol and nobody expected him to be the go to guy!

Its because he is not what we thought he was, right Barkley?

I missed the memo where the head coach isn't part of the team. Since when did this rule start?

    SHHH

Only when the team loses is the coach part of the team.(and one that should immediately be excised)

    :D
