Jimmy Carter seems to be questioning the timing and the truthfulness of the alleged bioterrorism charges against Cuba, just prior to his visit there.

I find Jimmy Carter to be more credible than the typical war loving guys in the Bush Administration, especially Otto Reich who has been involved with the Nicaraguan Contras, the El Salvador mess and many of our other adventures in Latin America.

After all they just tried to expand the Axis of Evil to inlcude Cuba among others.

Also important is the need for Governor Neal Bush and President Bush to appease the Cubans in Miami for electoral purposes.

I think that we have enough wars to fight without opening another front on the endless war against terrorism.

    Carter

This is one instance, at least, where the media is not as pie in the sky as some have suggested in other threads. They seem to be fairly skeptical. Of course, when Castro tells Carter he can go anywhere with whatever experts he chooses, that is quite a contrast to someone like Saddam.
