It's a foul and potentially a dangerous one. If the timing was off a bit more, when JR was still turning halfway, hitting on the wrist like that could have easily knocked JR off balance in the air.
It's a clear foul. He got him on his hands. How can folks call it a great play and a big block but also admit that its a blatant foul?? A heads up play of fouling him and not giving the dunk, sure. But that's all it is.
Its called LeBron reffing, anything LeBron does is not a foul but if you even lay a fingertip on him its a reach in/blocking foul.
J-Rich is stupid for doing a 360 in that situation. If he would just have done a layup there wouldnt even be an issue. He got what he deserved. Besides, the only ref that was down there to see the play was on the wrong side of the rim and couldnt even see the play.
i don't know, but it's cool that we get to watch athletes do crazy acts in the air like that. and yeah, they should of called a foul on that.
Are they gonna have replays like they do in the NFL? That was a game changing play and had Richardson made that, the crowd would have gone nuts. That crap was blatant, and I can't believe on NBA.com they called it the block of the night! That's right folks, fouls are highlights now.
anyone else see the post-game interview? they talked about that block and lebron said "it was all ball"
Why are you guys so worked up about this? It's hard to tell on that first shot and it's not like the refs have multiple replays and angles to look at when making a call. LeBron is doing fine putting up 3 straight triple doubles and then a 50 point game, he doesn't need this block to establish his ESPN hype or whatever you guys are going on about.
definitely the MVP this year and should also be first team all defensive since he anchors the top defensive team in the league. his stats for the past 5 games are off the hook. stl1.8 blk1.8 reb8.6 ast10.0 pts30.4 and a tackle on Jrich! he lives up to the hype!
If it was James trying a 360 and somebody else blocked it, I can guarantee you it would have been a foul, whether it was a clean block or not. That's just NBA.
It happens so fast that I believe it's hard to for refs to call, but on the other hand I would agree that if someone got just in the air when lebron was flying it would be a foul. Props to lebron for trying (and succeeding), but that "all ball" talk would better be omitted.
In refs I don't trust. Recently since the so-called crab dribble by LeBron, they seem to hesitate to blow their whistle when it comes to the plays by LBJ.It's completely bull****. That clearly was A FOUL and they just NEGLECTED it.Unbelievable they are, bunches of hightlights making machine on the floor to officiate the game.THAT SO FUN?
