defense is what needs to be worried more.

When AB is running the show, Yao rarely gets shots.

 

i like aaron brooks but he isn't a "pure" pg. i mean his mentality is shoot first even though a pg should pass before taking a shot.

 

Anybody have a link. the chinese ones r giving me trouble. Thanks

Everybody is calling for Lowry.. but anyone noticed that he was so afraid to take those open shots. there were at least 3 times in 2nd quarter that he was wide open for jumpers but he just hesitated and didn't know what he should do. that's basically why when he was in the game, the ball transition looked good but no finisher, and rockets didn't score for a while. and that's why coach ra put brooks in.

 

Can somebody tell me the last game Aaron Brooks actually played better than Lowry?

 

How are we showing favoritism, anybody with half a brain knows that Lowry should be starting rather than Brooks. Even when Lowry struggles he still makes a bigger impact then brooks. Getting Yao the ball, starting the offense etc... If Lowry was messing up as the 'starter' we would be getting at him as well. ..


P.S. I'm a grown @$$ man... I've been a rockets fan for along time.. Please don't start that rookie $%^ with me... I'm not the one...

 

actually, assist doesn't mean everything to a PG, I don't care brooks don't have the number, but just look at the way he run the offense, terrible!!! He makes Yao looks like a idiot or just a big tree stand in there. RA alway try to let Yao make play for brooks. I don't see why that happened.

 

excellent point. but people are still too hard on brooks, and are giving lowry a free pass. when the honeymoon with kyle is over people will be all over him too. i can see it now, can't spread the floor because he cant shoot, tries to get the foul instead of make the shot, etc...

both guards play their roles. brooks role is a scorer. with tmac out, others have to pick up the offensive slack.

 

oh,If AB just want to shoot,why not play him with our bench player???????
Yao just kept running without even touch the ball.....................

 

we could have gary payton in his prime and we'd get killed by pg's because of yao on the PnR.

 

Brooks' job is to be a scoring PG;with McGrady out, the Rockets decided to go with a scoring PG instead of a traditional PG. He provides that and it isn't like he isn't getting any assists; his assist numbers as a starter are around what Rafer had. I'm not saying he's as good as Rafer at getting plays set, but he does what he was supposed to do.

 

God damn let Lowry play ten games with the rockets ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! then lets decide if he should start... FOR NEXT SEASON!!!!!!!!!!

 

YEah,I think Yao really plays better when Lowry is in,AB just want to shoot,and his defense is really bad........I think Lowry should play more with Yao,because he passes more....

 

the point isn't whether you get assists or not. it's the mindset. with yao and scola in the game, if they're being guarded like they are today--single coverage with zero fronting, GET THEM THE DAMN BALL.

if he wants to score, go to the bench. him + wafer can form a lethal bench tandem.

Rox is still a regular season team, we can't pass the 1st round this season either, so sad but true.
AB is the worst starting PG aomong the playoff teams in the WC.
Artest has much lower bball IQ than T-Mac.
Rox shoot too many 3s.
I really hope we can fix these problems.

 

dfish didn't need the pick and roll and torched brooks in the last game. you remember dfish HOLLERING for the ball when brooks was guarding him?

 

RA should put Yao and Scola or Landry in to play with Lowry more. They are the best finishters.

 

how many "pure" pg's have won a championship in the last 20 years? my list is avery johnson and rajon rondo (and rondo is a maybe). pg's who can score or pg's who can nail 3 pointers tend to be on title winning teams. but by all means, lets make sure brooks, a scoring pg, tries to be a passing pg. no need for players to play to their strengths.
